85-Year-Old Pennsylvania Geezerette Pulls Gun on Burglar, Forces Him to Call 911

POINT MARION, Pa. � An 85-year-old woman busted a would-be burglar by pulling a gun on him, then forcing him to call 911 while she kept him in her sights, police said.

My point in posting this one is that no shots were fired. This will not make it into any of the studies funded by antis about defensive gun uses, because nobody got killed.

Other points are the usual ones about the ability of old folks to deal with young criminals, unless the geezer(ette) in question is armed. Young criminals do target us older foks more because they figure we are easy targets.

2. Good story. I guess the other side of this is someone pulling out a gun...

...and shooting a family member believed to be an intruder.

I love how this one turned out ~ nice touch, having the burglar call 911!

There seems to be a misconception that pro-RKBA types won't acknowledge that guns get misused, intentionally or unintentionally. That's just incorrect. But what we do contend, based on the available evidence, is that defensive gun uses occur more frequently than misuses (especially misuses by people who haven't knowingly broken the law to acquire the weapon in the first place), and that therefore, while restricting private ownership of firearms will provide some benefit in that some incidents of misuse would be prevented from occurring, those benefits would be outweighed by the harms.

Burglary and mugging may not be the smartest ways to earn a living, but those guys still aren't dumb enough to want to catch a bullet.
