Utah nonresident CCW
Completed the training, handed over all the forms and fees, did the pix and the prints (I detest that part), and an optional range test to be recently certified and qualified.

Now it's just a matter of waiting for UT to catch up with its backlog, which I'm told has gotten a month or so shorter but still could take 8 weeks. No biggie.

Hopefully by spring I'll be set for any coast to coast Rally N Action sojourn. (To get from NB to MO, avoiding IA, you turn right at Omaha, go south a ways on this Corn Road, then head east to 29 again at Nebraska City.)

Now if only the UP of MI would get its own CCW. (On the other hand, they think nothing of open carry there in my experience.)

Any other nonresident UT CCW DUers here?

N.B.--I consider concealed carry permits/licenses to be unconstitutional...but as I work for a less nonsensical patchwork of gun laws, CC has proven to be the method least likely to provoke weird reactions from people with bad cases of Gun Scaredy or Statism.

1. PS, range test was "optional"...
...only inasmuch as I qualified under other conditions, but figured I'd might as well be recertified by an NRA instructor given the opportunity to do so.

And I rarely leave Texas! The following is a good source of info on what state reciprocity.

3. I thought about Utah..
When I took my TX class this weekend, some folks were also getting their UT non-resident license. It only gets 4 more states of reciprocity, though, and I'm not likely to carry in any of those 4.
