Man Arrested in AAMU Shooting

untsville Police have arrested a man in connection with this weekend's shooting near Alabama A&M's campus.

19-year-old Christopher Lofton has been charged with 3 counts of attempted murder, and one count of shooting into an occupied building.

Police say Lofton shot three people after an argument early Sunday morning.

We're told it started as an argument at an off-campus apartment, then resulted in a shooting along Meridan Street.

Woman, 81, critical after found bashed in front yard

AN elderly woman has been critically injured in an attack in Rockhampton.
The 81-year-old was found in the front yard of a George St home about 8.30am (AEST) today.

She's been taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital where she remains in a critical condition

Seems that the elderly in OZ have no means of defending themselves.
