Victory Looms In Arizona For Gun-rights Advocates
http://www.personalliberty.com/news/victory-looms-in-arizona-for-gun-rights-advocates-19601368/

Arizona lawmakers are preparing to consider a new bill that would allow school faculty to carry concealed weapons on campus, media reports suggest.

Currently, only certified police officers are permitted to carry a weapon on school grounds in Arizona, but the bill introduced by State Senator Jack Harper of Phoenix would extend that right to select groups of ordinary citizens, according to ABC News.

"Any step toward allowing the people the right to self defense is a good thing," said Daniel Crocker, Southwest Regional Director for Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, quoted by the news provider.

He added, however, that his organization believes the right should also be extended to students.

The only problem I have with this is that students with CHLs should also be able to carry. It IS a good start though.

Too bad about the drive-by unrec. I balanced it, but it's still a morally bankrupt act.

7. This is outlandish. We need more anti-gun legislation in this country
Oh how I do wish that the Democrats would focus on this vital problem. Teachers in classrooms with guns? Are you kidding me? If I were a parent in AZ I would demand that my child go to a school with only security forces being armed.

16. the "democrats" don't focus on that issue
because many of them are not supportive of your position. I dont know where you've been living recently but many democrats are now pro-gun.

17. The last time Democrats did as you wished, we lost control of the House and Senate.
Ann Richards veto of shall-issue concealed carry in Texas enabled Bush the Second to defeat her for governor. That became his springboard to the presidency. Were you happy with eight years of Bush?

Pushing gun control has been a disaster for this party, and many Democrats have wised up and understand that voting Americans want their guns.

18. You are so very far out of the mainstream ...
... I couldn't float an empty ultra-light Kevlar canoe in your thinking.

"Oh how I do wish" ... some Dems would buy a new calendar and realize that it's not 1993 an we're not triangulating anymore. With the track record security guards have, I'm not sure I'd want them trying to protect my kids but it's your choice, But I'd check and see if Arizona will even let you and your kids in first.

We got suckered by the GOP led Brady bunch back in the '90's.

We're smarter than that now, at least some of us are.

25. So what you're saying is
the brady bunch is a group of republicans whose goal is not gun control but to sucker democrats to vote for gun control laws and then get kicked out?

19. You sound like a parody.
Do you seriously think teachers are a threat to national security? How, precisely, is a $7 an hour rent-a-cop security guard with no training more trustworthy with a weapon than a teacher who suffers through all the things a professional educator has to deal with in order to support, protect, and help their students?

24. Do you let your kid go to walmart or walk down a side walk?
Then they are close to people with CCW permits who carry.

We are moving in the right direction. Less gun restriction and crime is going down while people are buying guns at record rates.

11. Naughty, naughty - hate speech is no longer allowed
Referring to your firearm owning fellow Dems is considered hate speech on these forums since Skinner's call for civility.

I know it makes it hard for people with a bumper sticker level of thinking to express themselves intelligently, but let's give it a try, shall we?

Besides, WTF does your rambling post have to do with the OP?
