This article is no doubt a view that is favourable to the open carry people. However, this quote from one of the open carry-ers has me wondering: "I've been open carrying for about a year and most people don't notice, or some might make a comment. It's a demonstration I am a law-abiding citizen, you have nothing to hide. Criminals never open carry."

Has he branded all Concealed Carry people criminals?

Premise: ALL P ARE Q.

Does not logically imply ALL Q ARE P.

Only that SOME Q ARE P.

So, substituting "criminals" for "P" and "concealed carriers" for "Q" we get the claim in the article: ALL CRIMINALS ARE CONCEALED CARRIERS.

This logically implies SOME CONCEALED CARRIERS ARE CRIMINALS.

It does NOT logically imply ALL CONCEALED CARRIERS ARE CRIMINALS.

But as other posters have pointed out, universal affirmatives can only be partially converted; all of Alma Cogan is dead, but only part of the class of dead people is Alma Cogan.
