Sometimes guns are used for self defense. Sometimes they are used for good.
Of course, one dipshit drops his gun in a toilet and you have an instant CNN ALERT!!! To CNN's credit, I was actually able to find one of these stories on their website. That was the only story I could find where a civilian was doing good with a firearm posted on their website in the past month. Also, in a lot of these stories, there were no fatalities. Good and bad guys lived. You don't have to kill someone to use a firearm for good. Sometimes just seeing it, or hearing the boom they make is enough to make a bad guy turn tail and stop their threat.
On a lighter note… This story made the national news:
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2010/04/19/dnt.finger.gun.suspension.cnn?iref=allsearchUn-f*cking believable. Little snowflake has a gun, maybe we should water-board her?
