Woman sleeping with child in adjoining apartment, shot by man "fooling around" with a gun
A woman asleep with a child in bed was accidentally shot by a man "fooling around" with a gun in the apartment above hers, according to police.

It happened around 1:00 this morning inside an apartment building in the 800 block of St. John Street in Allentown.

Police said the bullet went through the floor and hit the woman in the leg.

Police said she'll be okay.

1. If this is true, hopefully he will be charged and punished for his negligence.
If it was on purpose, he should face much higher charges.

3. In a lot of these cases, I've noticed that the person responsible for the ND
ends up being charged as "felon in possession of a firearm".

4. In a lot of situations, I've noticed that the person who did something
ends up having something happen to them in "a way and with a thing."

That's what I noticed.

Mad Libs are fun.

2. She should've blasted her bedroom ceiling to look like swiss cheese.
That'd teach the guy playing with his gun.

5. This piece of anecdotal evidence
proves that we should implement onehandle's preferred firearms policies immediately.

7. Gun safety education in public schools could prevent this kind of event
The man wasn't just fooling around, he had to have simultaneously violated at least two of the basic firearm safety rules.
