5. Polls by groups with an agenda to pass gun control laws? I doubt their validity
But a news article pushing for a ban on high cap mags with a poll open to the public showing 75% are against it, that's a much better view of the political support or lack thereof for the ban

9. I think the same type poll
showed Sarah Palin winning the President election by 83%.

I'll go with established scientific pollsters like the ones I posted. Perhaps you can show us a real random sample type poll with the same results, just to verify those numbers? My link showed many different, accepted polls on gun control attitudes.

14. I've said it before
I'm not for a ban on them, just make them illegal to possess, loaded with more than 10 rounds outside the home or gun range.

17. How very authoritarian of you
Having had a little experience w/ the criminal justice system let me assure you that will very likely) be the first charge they plea away.

Also are you willing to subject your fellow citizens to random magazine checks by the police?

every state has restrictions on guns, and this has repeatedly been accepted by the Supreme Court. No state has unrestricted access to weapons. Not one.

11. No one is asking for unrestricted access to weapons
and state by state people are gaining more and more access to concealed carry and open carry with just a handful of the 50 states that are still resisting.

12. As far as I can see, no one is arguing for "unrestricted access to weapons."

I do think that banning standard factory magazines for the most popular civilian pistols and rifles in the United States is completely unreasonable, though. The vast majority of states have considered and rejected 10-round limits, and rightly so.

The gun control lobby is using the term "high capacity" very misleadingly, like calling an 11th-week abortion "late term." It's not.
