Texas' proposal would adversely affect teaching and won't prevent an incident from happening, said John Chaka, a graphic design instructor at Amarillo College.

"It would sort of break down the classroom environment," he said. "If a student, a good person, brings a gun to class, I think that it will still add a bit of nervousness, and I don't think people would learn better. ... Even (if the students) are good, I still don't know enough about them."

<snip>

"If that's the law, that's the law," he said. "The issue would be if violence occurs, it would be difficult for police to figure out who's a perpetrator and who is not. That's really the issue.

"You see somebody running down the hallway with a gun, it's difficult to determine if that's the guy doing the shooting."

1. So why has none of that been an issue in states that already allow campus carry?

2. And? What?
From the same article...

"It's not uncommon to find a shotgun in a vehicle," he said, "and a lot of our students come from farming and ranching backgrounds."

"It's probably not a bad idea. Overall, I don't think there will be any problems with it," Warlick said. "I've come to the conclusion that people who have a permit don't do anything bad."

3. Write your own opinion
so you can actually discuss it. Stop feeding off other people's work.

5. Yeah, those "gun free zone" signs have worked sooo well. I guess in your opinion
we just need BIGGER signs. Clearly those violating the "gun free zone" signs just didn't see them. Had the signs just been BIGGER then the "gun free zone" sign would have been enough.

So why has none of the predictions in the OP been an issue in states that already allow campus carry?
