Inside ATF…an ugly picture …how many dead bodies are out there as a result of Project Gunrunner?

by Hugh Holub on Feb. 23, 2011, under border issues, drug smuggling, mexican drug cartels, politics

Anyone interested in the growing scandal involving how ATF apparently looked the other way while guns were being sold that ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels and the bandits that shot Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry should visit CleanUpATF.org … a web site where ATF agents share their views.

Managers, Counsel, Internal Affairs and staff of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE or “ATF”) have repeatedly given false testimony, concealed substantial waste, fraud and abuse, abused their lawful authority, and waged systematic campaigns of reprisal against their own employees that dare to speak out. This website is intended by members of the ATF community to promote restoration of integrity, accountability and responsibility to ATF’s leadership, and regain the trust of the American taxpayer.

There is obviously a very professional and dedicated bunch of ATF agents who are seriously disturbed about games being played by their management.

The whole emerging scandal about Project Gunrunner…where ATF was actually setting up gun dealers to sell guns to people who should not have been sold guns, so ATF could track the guns into Mexico…is really …can’t even think of the right word to convey my shock and anger.

The frightening thought is how many other dead bodies do we have in Mexico on top of the body of Agent Terry?

How many other guns that floated through the ATF scheme were tied to murders on both sides of the border?

A pretty damning read.

2. Yep.
I imagine the um..."pucker factor"...on the part of more than quite a few people, is off the scale.

Not to mention heads exploding within the anti-gun movement.
