5. Excuse me, but

52 and 60 years of age do not qualify as "old coots." That's reserved for those 70 years old and above.

Now GET OFF MY LAWN!

--47 year old cranky male, but NOT an old coot

12. Why? That sort of thing doesn't only happen there.
Try to use a smaller brush in the future.

7. The U.S. has a population of about 310 million.
There will be a few incidents such as this with that many people. That such incidents happen is no reason to take away my freedoms.

8. What does you freedom have to do with this?
It's just a piece about a couple of guys resolving their differences the American way.

11. I don't have a gun-ban agenda.
Thought it was pretty damn funny though. People with a Pro Gun agenda don't seem to have much of a sense of humor.

13. Your posts are consistently anti-RKBA.
You even went to the extreme of posting an article filled with lies to further your anti-gun agenda. When the lies in the article were pointed out, you ignored them.

14. Anti-RKBA in public places does not mean anti-gun
How many times do I have to reiterate my position?
I would restrict gun carrying to the kinds of places dogs off the leash would be restricted and leave it to local government to make and enforce those restrictions.
There are a few things I feel strongly about, like guns in classrooms, which I think is utter folly.
I don't know what lies you're talking about.

Right to Keep and Bear Arms

The only question is where one would bear those arms. I'm pretty sure nobody, including the founding fathers, considered the trip from the couch to the kitchen a place where one "bears arms".

18. Beats me.
I don't know how they felt about the trip between home and classrooms either. Or college campuses as large as entire cities in colonial America. Or students who may commute a long way to take classes at night. Or students who may be working into the wee hours of the morning in largely empty buildings. Or women that may be doing all those things.

I don't like guns in classrooms either ( http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=118x376125 ), but I appreciate the realities of people's lives. Among those realities are the need to defend oneself.

Do you have a self defense solution for someone assaulted by another using a knife, club, fists or feet not involving a firearm?

19. Every situation calls for it's own solution
Personally I would not choose a firearm unless attacked by someone using a firearm. I have, in the past, used my feet (to leave said situation) and/or my wits. But I don't walk around wearing a target, either.
Maybe I'm lucky and you guys are all right. Long live free will.

21. Sorry, which info?
Must have gotten caught up in real life and forgot to do my homework. I'm not as experienced at this as you. Please bear with me. I'm trying. And you are absolutely correct, I'm not sure about anything and I am in awe of those who are sure. Of course, that's why I'm here - to learn and to grow. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

15. You think it's "pretty damn funny"...
...when somebody gets shot? In my opinion, that disqualifies you as a judge of other people's sense of humor.

Nice slur of a whole state, too. Stay classy.

Remember Cheney and the lawyer. That was hilarious.
Did I slur a state? Sorry if I did. Shame on me. I'm really not the slurring kind. I'll try better in future.
