TSA officer arrested at Orlando International Airport in possession of Ruger .380
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A Transportation Security Administration officer was arrested on suspicion of trying to take a loaded gun through a security checkpoint at Orlando International Airport.

Orlando police said Rynel Delacruz, 25, was arrested Monday night at OIA. He was released from jail Tuesday after posting $250 bail.

Police said Delacruz placed his luggage through an X-ray machine and a screener discovered a fully-loaded Ruger .380-caliber handgun.

Delacruz told authorities that he had forgotten the gun was in the luggage, police said.

3. How do you forget a pistol
How do you forget a pistol in your luggage? Does his carry on bag double as the bag he carries earplugs and ammo to the firing range? Just curious.

5. Those pistols are about the size of a wallet
They have one purpose, concealed carry, stop a deadly threat at bad-breath-distance.

6. Shoot, read post here about a permitted gunner who walked into WMart with 2 dang guns. He "forgot."

Said he forgot. I guess when you live with them 24 hours a day -- eat, sleep, go out, shower, have sex, play with kids, etc. -- gunners do forget despite all the bull about how careful they are. Kind of disgusting really. Couple that with high incidence of gun toters among TBaggers/birthers/racists and a definite pattern becomes obvious.

11. I carry everytime I walk into a Walmart...
nobody notices or cares.

My snub nosed .38 special is extremely light but I am well aware that I am carrying it.

A top aide to Sen. James Webb was charged yesterday with trying to carry a loaded pistol and extra ammunition into a Senate office building, U.S. Capitol Police said.

The staffer, Phillip Thompson, told police that the gun belonged to Webb (D-Va.), authorities said. Thompson also said he forgot that the gun was in a briefcase and meant no harm, they said.

7. I own one of those.
A Ruger LCP. It's all too easy to forget that you even have one on you.
