Joint Finance approves concealed carry bill-Wisconsin

MADISON -- People who want to carry hidden guns in Wisconsin would have to be licensed, undergo background checks and take some kind of training under a concealed carry bill that passed the legislature’s budget committee.

It would be an interesting promotion for a Wisconsin gun store to start a pool for the first major paper or news outlet to run a "Blood will run in the streets" or "Shootings over parking spaces" article.

They could give away (to qualified people) a Ruger LCR the week after it passes and is signed.

I don't think we'll see it here. Natural selection has eliminated most of the truly and totally stupid from our ranks. But you never know.

Here in Illinois we missed it by about 4 votes this year but we'll be back. Daley's gone and Quinn isn't going to do well in the next election after raising taxes 67% in one year and still trying to borrow billions. If we get a 2nd friendly Governor in we won't need the super majority next time.
