Editorial: Good changes to concealed carry law
Over the last couple of weeks, we've criticized the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee for some of the provisions it added to the state budget.

We've said the committee has overreached and added policy issues to the budget that have forced higher costs on local taxpayers.

We must, however, give the committee credit for making changes to the proposed concealed carry law.

1. Better than nothing.
But the only really good change to a concealed carry law is to not pass it, or to repeal it if passed.

3. No chance of that happening so you'd better just get used to it
Just like in Texas.

4. Well, get started repealing it then and stop whining about it
If you feel that strongly you should start working on repealing it, instead of just whining about it online.

I'm sure the Brady people will be glad to give you free advice on the petition wording for legal purposes. Get some petitions printed and start circulating. We're frequently told how many Dems are for gun control so you should have no problem finding people to help you on this.

We all look forward to reports of your efforts.

Or, you could just keep sitting on your ass at the keyboard and keep complaining.

5. Please point to any of the shall-issue states that has had a movement to repeal.
I googled and could not find a single web site for repeal of conceal carry. Some were for repeal of a ban on concealed carry. Looks like you have a lot of dissappointment ahead of you in you efforts at repeal of CC. Will you start in Texas?
