The Leon County Commission voted Tuesday to repeal several county laws involving hunting and guns, and said they felt strong-armed by the state and Gov. Rick Scott to do so.

The repeals were in reaction to Florida House Bill 45, which also was adopted by the Senate. According to county documents, the bill amends Florida Statute 790.33, which preempts to the state the entire field of regulation of firearms.

County Attorney Herb Thiele said he had never seen a statute like this enacted.

“If you don’t do these things you can be sued, have ordinances invalidated by the state, each of us would be fined $5,000,” Thiele added. “I’m not allowed to defend you, no public funds can be used, it is grounds for removal from office by the governor, it is the most all-encompassing set of penalties I’ve seen. It’s a political death penalty.”

It's the Legislatures' job to write the laws. It's his job to enforce them as written, so he needs to STFU and GBTW.

When someone supports my ideas, the status quo, that is in the wrong will try to attack them, using smear and deception mostly, but sometimes entrapment and various other extra judicial methods.

I would remove the governor if that was tried to be used against me.

And could do it, with a just and compassionate claim.

Side note, I turned down being a governor, it did not seem to fit within just and compassionate ideas with the state of the status quo, and threw the ring into the volcano.

and few people are going to be familiar with the laws of all 60 plus counties. Uniformity throughout the state is a good thing unless you want jails being filled with good people being busted on minor offences that they would not be familiar with.
