Bank encourages concealed carry of guns by permit holders

Surely this will cause a panic when the customer see all those guns? The point is that nobody will see any guns if they are concealed properly, but everyone will know that anyone could be packing. The door sign should inspire bank robbers to choose instead the banks with signs prohibiting legally carrying concealed gun owners from entering.

1. Good for them
It's a business decision on their part and I applauded their choice.

My not every stepping foot into one of their banks (or any other that makes a similar choice) is a business decision on my part and I hope they are equally as pleased with my choice.

3. And 4 CCW holders (for every one who boycotts) who are currently
banking elsewhere are closing their accounts and moving over there as we speak.

20. Seeing as how this bank has ONE location...
...in Chappell Hill, TX, and your profile says you live in Missouri, I strongly doubt you were ever going to be a customer of this bank in the first place.

21. You aren't thinking about the big picture
If customers with guns were in the branches, then perhaps some of the banksters would be less inclined to rob the American people blind.

4. It's a great start for freedom loving Citizens, but what about OCer's?
Don't leave out the honest citizens that don't want to conceal their sidearms.

Some of the nicest most helpful people I've ever run into carried their firearm on their side. These are the people that refuse to be intimidated by the public into keeping their safety device covered up to keep from being singled out and ridiculed.

5. The bank is about 60 miles from the town of Cut And Shoot, TX.
However it is pretty far to Gun Barrel, TX. About 150 miles. If I lived close to that bank I would open an account there.

11. Looks like marketing ploy. Bank ain't very big, so if it gets the 3 to 4% who can't leave home

without a gun or two, it'll increase it's deposits. Plus, it's probably catering to the Sarah Palin crowd.

Don't make the foolish mistake of thinking the size of the facility is related to its deposit levels.

Marketing ploys that define a niche of the population that have money to work with are a smart move. Since firearm owners often have higher than average disposable income, they are a perfectly valid target audience.

You people can always go down the street to Bank of America, Chase or another bank that bans all firearms, or just use your mattress.

I think this bank has an excellent idea, and would like other banks to follow suit.


It's rather presumptuous of you to believe you speak for non-gun owners nationwide, but we wouldn't expect anything less from you.

23. I was always unarmed for about 60 years., I like armed better.
I am always armed when I go to the bank. Hasn't been a problem for me or the bank. My gun is concealed and the bank doesn't have any signs about guns. However, I rarely have to go inside anymore as everything I need to do can be done either online or at the ATM.

Tonight wife and I will go out for pizza, and I will be packing, as I always am.
