(6) And now, using civilian contractors within the U.S. to steal and smuggle military-grade weaponry.

The GOP has established a dominant stimulus-repose regime with the Democrats: The GOPers yell soft-on-drugs; the Democrats shy away (for the most part) from ANY meaningful change in the W.O.D. The result WILL be the increasing corruption of American institutions as futile attempts to maintain prohibition are exercised. We are numbly watching a horrific auto accident in slow motion.

Those who profit big from drug and arms dealing are seeking most a simple profit. Much of the useful intell on this comes from agency cooperation through the El Paso Intelligence Center and the various agencies operating there. ATF is one of them. As long as the type of under-supervised activity that leads to leads to F&F like operations is unchecked, crime will flourish and useless bureaucrats will sink the careers of effective LEOs or, now and then, get them killed.
