seems to me, as a non-gun shooter who wants nothing to do with them, that something is amiss.

I've met a couple of these 20-year old Protest Warriors, and they are DANGEROUS!!! They are basically gearing up for something, and if something sets them off, it will be a sad day for Amerika!!!

Freepers with guns!!! There's a GREAT IDEA!!!

3. He's not in an army uniform and on an army firing range...
... as part of basic training?

For the fact is, if he's a "protest warrior" who supports Bush and supports this war in Iraq, he needs to sign up.

Now.

Anything else he says or does until then is immaterial.

4. No eye protection that I can see.
There might be ear protection, I can't tell for certain. Additionally, if you want to fire two guns at once, at least make sure they are of the same type, so that the triggers feel the same as you pull them.

Then he is serious trouble. But if it's a 9mm, he's okay.

7. no eye or hearing protection
plus, two-fisted shooting isn't that safe due to control issues.

SO, score (-3) on the safety assessment.

Maybe (-4/-5), depending on if he's shooting live ammo and the photographer's ahead of the muzzles . . . :eyes:

10. Improper Glock etiquette.
When firing two handguns in unison, and one of those handguns is a Glock, at least one handgun (if not both), should be held sideways as in "gansta style".

Close-up added for emphases.

13. There's no way to properly aim two pistols like that
He's just pissing away ammo. He may be able to put a lot of lead in the air for a short time but nobody could shoot accurately that way.

15. "nobody could shoot accurately that way"? That's a bit broad because
I've watched demonstrations by gifted shooters who could indeed shoot two pistols or revolvers simultaneously and very accurately. That's been several decades ago and they've gone on to the big shooting range in the sky but, I assume others might have taken their places.

27. It's like shooting a basketball
Provided the load is consistant and you practice a lot, you could actually aim pretty well.

However, reloading would be a bit of a trick.

18. Based on his tequnique
Aside from the previously mentioned eye/ear protection and a general lack of ability to properly aim both weapons at once....

I'll wager that the Taurus/Beretta in his left hand will hit low and right. Assuming the same trigger technique for his right hand, that Glock will hit low and left. He's using too much trigger finger.

24. Pretty much covered
I think everyone's pretty much covered it.

He may not have eye or ear protection.

Firing two guns at once is generally not a good idea, except in the movies. You're better off firing each one two-handed in turn if you desire to shoot two.

It's how hard to tell how far away and at what angle the photographer is standing--or if there was a live photographer at all--or whether the guns have been cleared. I can't tell if the second shadow in the corner is a person or not.

Who wears a ring on the right hand middle finger?

28. R. Lee Ermey was shooting without eye protection...
The weapons?
RPG
SPG-9
ZSU 23-2

I wouldn't fire those weapons without eye protection...especially the rocket propelled grenades.

we never used eye protection, even on the grenade range with the M203 . . . .with the preoccupation with "safety" in the military these days you would think eye protection would have been introduced. I noticed a lot of guys in Iraq have the eye shields . . .

I volunteer YOU to go tell MSgt. Ermey he needs some Oakleys
