"Head of the IDF Manpower Directorate Brigadier-General Eliezer Stern was attacked Friday evening by more than 100 ultra-Orthodox and religious worshippers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Stern arrived with his family to pray, when stones and bags of water were thrown at him.
One person was taken in for questioning and other arrests are expected to follow.

The worshippers tried to prevent Stern from reaching the Western Wall and cried out, "traitor", "Go away you are not worthy of coming to the Western Wall," referring to his role in the recent disengagement.

Police encircled Stern and his family and brought them to the Wall to pray under heavy security. One police officer was lightly injured from a stone thrown at him by one of the worshippers."

as we all know when stones are hurled by Palestinians, a snipers bullet through the head is the usual response by security forces because those stones are so lethal.

More like when Palestinians are throwing stones. Period. There is no justification for shooting into such a crowd, or any other crowd (like Israeli gunships firing into demonstrations). Please, do I really have to listen to this kind of filth?
