Israel will not accept Iran nuclear weapons: Sharon

"Israel, and not only Israel, cannot accept a situation in which Iran would be in possession of nuclear weapons," Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told journalists in Tel Aviv.

"We must do everything possible to prepare for such a situation. But Israel is not spearheading any campaign" against Iran's suspected nuclear weapons ambitions, he added.

"It is not only a danger for Israel but for the Middle East as a whole and for other countries."

Sharon was speaking after his defence minister, Shaul Mofaz, said that international diplomacy and pressure were the best way of confronting Iran over its nuclear ambitions.

Wiping Iran off the face of the earth is not an official government foreign policy obective of Israel. Unfortunately, wiping Israel off the face of the earth IS an official government foreign policy obective of Iran.

they are, after all, terror weapons.
So the US, China, France, Israel are really the top terror states in that regard.

Israel has a massive nuclear inventory, which we learned long ago from the hero Vanunu. If we want to stop Iran from getting nukes, we have to address the fact that Israel introduced them to the region.

The world should not accept Israel's nukes.

6. It is always a red herring. No country, much less the US wanted Pakistan

to go nuclear. But now it doesn't much matter. The US and Pakistan will tolerate each other in fight against terror. Hell, Reagan didn't care much when good friend Saddam used gas because Iran was the bad guy.

Must be his Iranian background. He's usually the first one giving out the orders to "leave corpses lying around" - unsurprisingly, since he's an "Arab Hater" (according to the Israeli media). Don't know if that extends to persian countries, but what the heck, if it doesn't it is some progress.
