Why Katyushas? Why Qassams? Why now?
Hezbollah says it didn't do it. Fatah says it didn't do it. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command says it didn't do it.

But someone gave the order. And someone fired. Four times at least. The Katyusha rockets hit houses in the northern border town of Kiryat Shmona just before midnight Tuesday night.

Israel's northern front commander Major General Udi Adam says the IDF knows who did it. For the moment, he's not telling.

On the southern front, meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad served notice that it would pay no heed to a personal appeal by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to halt Qassam rocket barrages against Israeli towns and villages.
