IDF to probe how Jordanian was able to cross into Israel

The Israel Defense Forces are to investigate the circumstances that enabled a Jordanian man to cross the border between Israel and Jordan with his car in the Dead Sea region on Friday night, and to travel some 150 kilometers on the Arava Highway before being arrested, Israel Radio reported.

Police arrested the man near Kibbutz Grofit, 45 kilometers north of Eilat, after drivers reported seeing a car with a foreign license plate, the radio said.
