Israel village tries to breach barrier with Palestinians
<snip>

"Dropping the Jeep into low gear, Doron Lieber powers up a rock-strewn track, past tall grass and thistle bushes.

At the top of a hill, the long-time resident of this Israeli communal farm stops as a finished section of a barrier being built by the Jewish state in and around the occupied West Bank comes into view. On the other side lies the Palestinian village of Qaffin.

When this part of the barrier was finished three years ago, it largely cut contact between Metzer and Qaffin, two villages that had long set a shining example of peaceful co-existence.

But unlike many Israelis who welcome having nothing to do with Palestinians after years of violence and dashed peace hopes, Lieber and other leaders of the communal farm are trying to breach the razor-topped barrier to help their neighbors."

1. This is the only solution to the Israeli/Palestinian problem. They
have to learn to get along, to live next to each other.

Politicians and religious leaders are the biggest problems. It's not the average citizen. Not until they are spurred on and aggitated by the politicians and religious leaders.

2. But if they get-along, then that will prevent The Apocalypse...
and America's foreign policy is guided by the Dominionist and Millennialism doctrines.

America must create a state of constant strife and unrest between Israel and Palestine in order for them to spark The War of Armageddon and usher-in The Second Coming of Christ.

THAT is what guides Bush's regime.

World peace? Jesus hates peace. He needs us to slaughter one another so he can "save" us. Bush thinks Jesus is sitting in heaven, wringing his hands in delight, every time another suicide bomber explodes in Jerusalem, and every time an Israeli rocket explodes in Gaza.

"Yes, my children... kill... kill... kill... I'll be coming soon.."

4. I think Bush believes he is fulfilling Biblical prophesy...
all that stuff about tax-breaks to the rich is just to keep his power base and the big-money donors behind him.
