Jordan demands swift PA inquiry into killing of embassy staffer

By Arnon Regular, Haaretz Correspondent, and Agencies

Jordan demanded a swift Palestinian inquiry after one of its diplomatic staffers was killed Monday and seven other people were wounded as a new Hamas-led security force exchanged heavy fire with gunmen near the Palestinian parliament building in Gaza City.

The death brings to eight the number of people killed in Palestinian internal fighting this month as violence resumed in the coastal strip.

Hospital officials identified the dead man as Jordanian citizen Khaled Radaida, 55, administrative assistant to the Jordanian ambassador in Gaza.

Three bullets hit the windshield of Radaida's vehicle, marked with Jordanian diplomatic license plates
