PM: IDF most ethical army in world
In cabinet meeting Sunday Olmert voices regret over death of innocent Palestinians in Gaza blast, but says Israeli army 'has never made it its strategy to target civilians.' PM stresses ongoing rocket barrage from Strip harms life fabric of southern communities

"Israel regrets the death of seven innocent civilians, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at the opening of a cabinet meeting Sunday morning, referring to the Gaza blast that hit and killed seven members of the Palestinian Ralia family on Friday.

Olmert noted that Defense Minister Amir Peretz has ordered an investigation into the incident, and vowed that the detailed conclusions of the probe will be revealed to the public once the inquiry is completed.

Shortly before departing on his first official trip in the post to Europe, during which he is expected to face harsh criticism in wake of the Beit Lahiya tragedy, the PM expressed full support of the IDF.

"The IDF is the most ethical army in the world, and I reject any attempt to question its morality. The army has never made it its strategy to target civilians, and this is also true today," Olmert stressed."

1. He's living in another world --
He's as bad as bush -- up is down, black is white --war is peace

When soldiers murder babies, children and bomb innocent people that doesn't meet the "ethical" criteria.

Sorry you typical dumb ass olmert the dumbert -- I was going to call him a GOP dope. But I guess this sort of personality type is common in the non-liberal politician.

5. Then again, maybe not....
Mordechai to retain IDF rank despite molestation conviction

<snip>

"Reserve General and former defense minister Yitzhak Mordechai will retain his rank, following to an agreement reached Monday between the defense and chief military prosecutor.

Military prosecutor Col. Lior Libman will withdraw the appeal he submitted to a military appeals tribunal, according to the agreement. He had lodged the appeal to protest the court's decision to allow Mordechai to keep his rank despite the former defense minister's conviction on two charges of sexual molestation."

<snip>

"In his appeal, Libman stated that "The offenses for which was convicted are among the most serious of all indecent acts. We are talking about two separate acts committed against two women who were substantially younger than he is."

"The acts were committed against the wishes of the victims, some through the use of force, and were of a crude sexual nature including touching intimate parts of their bodies," he added."
