Islamic Movement condemns Palestinian lesbian conference
A conference of Palestinian lesbians, scheduled to be held in Haifa at the end of the month, has raised the ire of Israel's Islamic Movement leaders.

Last week, the movement's heads, MKs Ibrahim Sarsur and Abas Zkoor (United Arab List-Ta'al) published a statement calling on "all respectable people from all communities and streams to stand up against preaching sexual deviance among our women and girls."

The Haifa-based Asawat, a Palestinian gay women's organization, most of whose 85 members hail from Israel and the territories, has called the March 28 conference to mark its five-year anniversary.

The Islamic Movement statement also said, "We must not let this fatal cancer spread in our community."

1. Oh, good, something they can agree with the Hassidim about
Always nice to see these points of agreement among the ultra-orthodox. :/

I'm sure Danesh D'Souza will claim the lesbians are to blame for Palestinian suicide bombers.

My God, the horror.

What would happen to their traditional values if they allowed all these lesbians to live in peace??? what's next? living in peace with Israeli's?

Why if this keeps up, peace will break out and then what will they do with the surplus population?
All this open minded change just isn't good for the war machine.
It's just plain anti-family values

Breed and Bleed, now your talking Coulter.

5. I'm just so relieved Christianity is so tolerant of homosexuality!
Not....

I didn't spot anything in the article that was any different than the carry on Christian leaders do about homosexuality, nor did I spot a bit in it where calls for killing lesbians were being made....

7. Gee, I guessed correctly!
I guessed that my criticism of Islam would be countered with a non-sequitir criticism of either Judaism or Christianity. And you proved me right. Thanks!

8. What you said wasn't criticism..
Though it doesn't surprise me that I'd get that sort of reaction to me pointing out the blatantly obvious fact that Islam doesn't stand alone in having the big hates for homosexuality. Is there some reason you think only one religion should be called stone-age for its views on homosexuality?

11. I tried to link
but it states "file not found." So, is this is a bullshit story that was pulled?

Or, perhpas you actually got lucky and found one and the site is temporarily down.

Regarless, find me, oh, about, 10,000 more like that, and that will be the equivalent of the Islamic nutjobs and their constant calls for Allah's revenge by death for basically anything having to do with anything that is an insult to Islam (which is just about everything and anthing that infidels do! LOL!)

But even so that's okay. I'll assume the dude's found one example. All he has to do is find a few thousand more and I'll condede that other religions have sunk to the stoneage level of Islam.

14. Now it works
Yeah, Robertson is as big a nutjob as any whacko Islamist. Thankfully, he is a rare exception. Unfortunately, the Islamist whackos who advocate death and jihad in the name of Allah are very, very numerous. They are medeival. Christianity was once like that hundreds of years ago. Islam is like that today.

15. Here.
Also, I wanted to make note of one of your comments above in post #5. If you read this forum regularly you'll find that it's the pro-Israeli crowd that often will post responses that point the finger in another direction as if that will somehow lessen the facts at hand regarding Israel.

Televangelist Calls for Chavez' Death
Aug 22 10:06 PM US/Eastern

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson called on Monday for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, calling him a "terrific danger" to the United States.

Robertson, founder of the Christian Coalition of America and a former presidential candidate, said on "The 700 Club" it was the United States' duty to stop Chavez from making Venezuela a "launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."

Chavez has emerged as one of the most outspoken critics of President Bush, accusing the United States of conspiring to topple his government and possibly backing plots to assassinate him. U.S. officials have called the accusations ridiculous.

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," Robertson said. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop."

Electronic pages and a message to a Robertson spokeswoman were not immediately returned Monday evening.

Venezuela is the fifth largest oil exporter and a major supplier of oil to the United States. The CIA estimates that U.S. markets absorb almost 59 percent of Venezuela's total exports.

Venezuela's government has demanded in the past that the United States crack down on Cuban and Venezuelan "terrorists" in Florida who they say are conspiring against Chavez.

Robertson accused the United States of failing to act when Chavez was briefly overthrown in 2002.

"We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability," Robertson said.

"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator," he continued. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

16. Thanks
Yes, as I responded in the other post, Robertson is whackjob who rivals the Islamist whackjobs. Nobody should use their postion in power to call for the death of another, not even a moran like Chavez. But, as I mentioned, Christian/Judaic nut jobs absolutely pale in numbers and danger compared to Islamist whackjobs. No comparison. As a rule Christian/Judaic clerics do not call for the death of another. but, it is very, very common in Islam to call for death and Jihad to infidels. Their fundamnetalist style of religion is about 600 years behind the times. It is definitely the most dangerous of religions.
