Top UN official blasts Hamas for 'cynical' use of civilian facilities
United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Chief John Holmes blasted Hamas Tuesday for its "cynical" use of civilian facilities during recent hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

"The reckless and cynical use of civilian installations by Hamas and indiscriminate firing of rockets against civilian populations are clear violations of international humanitarian law," Holmes told the UN Security Council.

1. Cynical but effective
All Hamas did was hide underground while drawing Israeli fire near civilian targets. And it worked. Israeli fire hit civilian targets, and the world pressured Israel to stop going after Hamas. Hamas declared a courageous victory. It wasn't a victory for Palestinians or Gazans, but it may have been a victory for Hamas - we'll see - if they get billions of dollars and international legitimacy out of this.

2. Weird that the UN is buying into the Israeli propaganda about Hamas using civilians
You'd think that John Holmes of all people would be able to see through these ridiculous made-up claims!

Unless they aren't made-up and Hamas actually did cynically use civilian installations in violation of international law.
