Who are the world's richest Jews?
In Haaretz no less, you can't make this stuff up.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Businessman Sheldon Adelson, Russian mogul Roman Abramovich and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg rank among the world's richest Jews, according a new survey published by TheMarker.

The financial newspaper on Wednesday published an analysis of the world's richest Jews, ranking them by sector and industry and based on their standing on Forbes' list of the world's richest people.

Most of the people included on TheMarker's list have business ties with Israel and are also involved in philanthropy for Jewish causes.

Contrary to Forbes' list, a number of the Jewish billionaires listed have not inherited their fortunes, but rather earned them through entrepreneurial initiatives or political changes, such as the dissolution of the former Soviet Union.

1. I never thought about it before...
But I've worked for no less than five different billionaires in Los Angeles, and now that I think about it, they were all Jewish... and all Democrats:)

Only three were billionaires by inheritance... by far my favorite were the two who were self-made.

Weird that it's Haaretz that caused me to think in these terms.

6. Religion...
I don't generally think in terms of who is of what faith.

3. Who are the world's richest Christians?
Or the richest gay people? Or the richest Asians or Muslims?

I've once saw a list of the world's richest women ... but it's very odd, in general, to single out a particular ethnic or religious group to check out their wealth. Or am I just being sensitive because of the age-old conspiracy theory based on the canard that Jews control all the world's wealth.

5. Well, that was my view, are we keeping some sort of score here?
If the wrong sort of parties brought this subject up they would be ripped to shreds, and rightly so.

9. I so wish Soros would buy a TV station with a liberal or even leftish
progressive lean. One that would truthfully, good and/or bad disperse the news the old-fashioned way..unvarnished. I love spending other peoples money...

10. I wish he'd buy a president....
or a political party. I imagine a political party bankrolled by him would be better than the alternatives on offer.
