You are the one making huge assumptions. Are Israeli Arabs allowed to serve in the police force? Is your assumption that being Israeli is only jewish?

My point, seeing that it slipped your grasp totally in the fog of victimhood, is that there is discrimination and hatred on both sides - visceral deep rooted hatred. I was going to suggest that the current leadership is feeding this with its loyalty oath, with Lieberman's grand idea of cutting out parts of Israel that had large populations of Arab citizens - but I decided to let the article stand on its own and speak for itself. You are correct - both sides feed the hatred instead of fighting against it.

And once again, you miss the point - it is Israeli pitted against Israeli. You have rabbi's publically stating that Arab Israeli's should not be allowed to rent apartments to go to school. Oh wait - does that mean that Arab Israeli's are not valued enough as citizens to be able to have their own bomb shelter?

The state of Israel is a rich colorful, varied society. That is its strength. That is what makes it special.
