TUBAS (Ma'an) -- Israel's civil administration handed 16 evacuation orders to Palestinians in a community northeast of the West Bank city of Tubas, a local center said.

Israeli forces declared Khirbet Ibziq a closed military zone, and residents were told to leave the area within 72 hours, the Land Research Center said.

According to the group, the orders stated that if the residents failed to leave the area, their homes would be demolished and their livestock confiscated.

The center added that while Palestinians were banned from the area, Israeli settlers and soldiers could use the land.

This must be a mistake because there is no systematic campaign to steal the land of the Palestinians.
