Israeli troops kill unarmed Palestinians
http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/12/15/1071336890365.html

Israeli forces shot and killed two unarmed Palestinians early yesterday and were hunting for three others in southern Israel after the group approached the fence that separates between Israel and the Gaza Strip, the army said.

The area along the border fence is off-limits to Palestinians, the army said.

The soldiers opened fire when they saw the group of six nearing the area. Two were killed and four fled into Israel, although one was later caught, the army said.

Police and soldiers were last night searching for the other three Palestinians, setting up impromptu checkpoints and roadblocks throughout southern Israel, the army said.

7. What do cases before have to do with this one?
So any Palestinian is a suspect and therefor deserves to be killed on the spot, regardless if he actually endangers anyone, simply for crossing a barrier?

8. AND...
isn't that a sad fact of terrorism. When youve been repeatedly
have had your people blown to bits, you really cant assume
anything.

15. Making assumptions is wrong...
Making the assumption that unarmed Palestinians approaching a fence are terrorists and therefore killing them is fine is what's wrong...

Using the logic you used that anyone who repeatedly have their people 'blown to bits' don't need to show any restraint and can assume that any of these people are intending to do more blowing to bits can also be applied to the Palestinians, who've repeatedly had many of their civilians killed by the IDF. Does that make it okay for them to react by killing Israeli civilians based on a possibility that they might be intending harm towards Palestinian civilians? Of course it doesn't, and it doesn't work the other way round either...

9. Why do you think...
...they call it a 'Peace Fence.' Any Palestinian who approaches it without authorization will soon be resting in peace.

10. "They were warned and refused to stop"
Funny, that wasn't mentioned in this version of the story:

Or this version:

The NY Times and the Voice of America. Two more examples of 'Pathetic Journalism 101.' :eyes:

14. Even more funny...
its the truth. So sad.

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/372333.html

"Prior to the incident, IDF scouts spotted the tracks of six individuals on the Palestinian side of the fence, west of Sderot, and troops mounted a manhunt. A short while later, the soldiers spotted two Palestinians in an off-limits area close to the fence. The troops then opened fire, killing the two men.

IDF sources said the firing had been preceded by the proper rules of engagement and that the two men had failed to respond to the soldiers' orders."

wanna try again?

16. Of course the IDF would say that...
After an incident like this, they'd say whatever they think will make them look good. It's not that long ago that they were lying through their teeth about a missile attack on Palestinians, so why would anyone automatically take what the IDF says in hindsight as the truth, especially when they've been known to be very dishonest about incidents such as these in the past?

21. in other words
pay no attention to the murders the Israeli army is committing on a daily basis. It's Palestinians that need to end all violence.

Sharon is a murderous jackass.
