Fatah: Ashdod Port bombers used tunnels to cross Gaza
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1079263938844

A Fatah leader said Monday that the two suicide bombers who blew themselves up in the Ashdod Port on Sunday, killing 10 Israelis , used underground tunnels to cross into Israel from the Gaza Strip.

The assailants also evaded tight security at the port and used high-grade plastic explosives.

Ten Israelis were killed and 16 wounded, one critically, in the Ashdod attack late Sunday afternoon at Ashdod Port, a site considered to be one of the most sensitive, strategic, and supposedly heavily guarded locations in the country.

A militant leader in Gaza said the bombers had intended to blow up fuel storage tanks in Ashdod,

One Al Aqsa leader in Gaza, who identified himself only as Abu Qusay, said that "this is a message to the Israelis that all their walls and fences cannot prevent us from infiltrating Israel and doing whatever we want."

IAF gunships carried out missile strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip early Monday morning in retaliation for the double suicide bombing.

Abu Qusay said the terror groups were trying to carry out more devastating attacks. "We planned this attack to be a major one, to target their infrastructure, to show them that not only can we kill you, but destroy your infrastructure as well, like you destroy ours," he said.

Tunnels ?? I find that hard to believe.

1. Well, it's good they missed the bromine.
The sophisticated and coordinated tactics are not so good,
and the fact they had plastique not good at all.

2. Oh no,no,no....
So much for the unfair weapons...I mean...what could

be more fun than killing an unsuspecting bunch of innocent jews

minding their own business.

Juuuuuuuust Priceless.

3. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.
But I certainly agree that killing a bunch of people
just minding their own business is evil. In fact I dislike
all kinds of violence.

4. It's the tunnels again
The tunnels are hard to find. They are always moving them and building new tunnels for smuggling arms in and terrorists out. Maybe we should get UN peacekeepers to search for tunnels.

In light of the one year anniversary, they should name
one ....

"The Saint Rachel Killing of Innocent Israelis Memorial Tunnel".

What could be a more fitting way to remember her by.

Just gives me goose-bumps.

7. Do you have any credible evidence that Corrie was protecting tunnels?
Of course you don't. But why bother to let the truth get in the way of your agenda?

17. Wow.
You're not just jumping into Rachel Corrie threads now.
You're injecting her into the discussion.
Your fixation with Rachel Corrie is fascinating. Troubling.
But fascinating.

Your ongoing slurs are troubling. Your cute little anniversary name doesn't work, because you and I both know that tunnels were not under the house Rachel died at.

I realize you're trying to be cute, but once again, your humor falls flat.

19. It's a figure of speech.
You want to make a pun out of it - have a ball.
I had gathered that you loved Rachel - your posting history is similar to an infatuated suitor.

6. Perhaps we should get UN weapons inspectors to
examine Israel's illegal nuclear weapons (for safety purposes only).

North Korea pulled out of the NNPT.

Israel never bothered to sign the NNPT.

Guess which country is labeled a "rogue nation?"

8. And when did you become the judge
as to legality of the Israeli armaments?

9. And when did you become the judge
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 01:48 PM by Evil_Dewers
Not me, the UN.

They judged (or attempted to judge) Saddam's WMD (which apparently were teleported into space by an Arab magician).

The UN is trying to inspect Iran's nuclear program.

Don't worry about the UN messing with Israel's nukes. The US always vetoes any UN attempt to get Israel to comply with international law.

"Israel's illegal nuclear weapons"

Seems to me you were making a judgment.

judge me.

11. So why should you
worry?

I'd be more concerned about attacks by al Qaeda, if I were you.

15. The motive behind the attacks
Can't say that you've kept up with all the facts on this. Remember bin Laden employed by the CIA to fight the Communists (Soviet Russia to the north of Afghanistan)? Remember the explosions in Africa? What about US hegemony over Saudi Arabia?

No, Israel is far from the cause of the al Qaeda creation and attacks on the US. Bin Laden is way up on the lunacy scale. Unfortunately, his also very rich, a terrorist by inclination and has connections with terrorist organizations such as Hizbullah (who taught him the trade.)

16. bin Forgotten gave a couple of reasons for the 9/11 attacks
1. The US troops in the Muslim "Holy Lands"--troops put in Saudi Arabia near Mecca and Medina by Bush 41.

2. The unabashed US support for Israel to the detriment of the Palestinians.

I'm sure bin Forgotten had his other reasons, like the US abandonment of Afghanistan, and the CIA pulled the plug on his plan to wipe out the House of Saud.

20. Using Israel
as a scape-goat won't help your cause, what ever it is.

Bin Laden also said the cause of his angle was humiliation that he had to endure from infidels stepping on his homeland. That goes back long before the first George Bush.

22. Defending Israel's human rights violations
and defending their killing of an American peace activist won't help your cause, whatever it is.

21. Wait a moment...
isn't the Gaza border supposed to be totally secure?

Isn't that the reason that the "security barrier" is supposed to make the West Bank border secure?

Hmm...
