State Department: Palestinians won't prosecute American-killers in Gaza
The Palestinian Authority has shown an "unacceptable" performance in its failure to prosecute those behind the fatal bombing of a U.S. convoy entering Gaza last year on a cultural mission, the U.S. State Department said Friday.

"We haven't seen them demonstrate either the will, much less the capacity, to investigate the case seriously," department spokesman Richard Boucher said.

"We have seen statements from time to time by Palestinian officials that they know who did it. And if that's true, then they should take immediate action to arrest and prosecute whoever did it," Boucher said.

The three murdered Americans were John Branchizio, 37, of Texas, John Linde Jr., 30, of Missouri, and Mark Parsons, 31, of New Jersey. They were security personnel guarding a convoy of U.S. diplomatic vehicles that was attacked by Palestinian Arab terrorists at the Beit Hanoun junction in the Gaza Strip on October 15, 2003.

1.  On the list......
"October 17, 2003, Gaza Strip, Israel, Three Americans were killed and another wounded on October 15, 2003 when an explosion tore through a van that was part of a diplomatic convoy traveling through the Gaza Strip. The killed and injured Americans were part of a security force for the diplomatic officials. The State Department identified the slain Americans as John Branchizio (36) Mark T. Parson (31) and John Martin Linde Jr. (30) all employees of DynCorp, a Virginia-based security firm."

2. whereas Israel

is so quick to prosecute war crimes by it's troops and hate crimes by settlers, then when they actually bother at all the sentance is so lenient it's a joke

"A Jewish settler who clubbed a Palestinian child to death with a rifle butt was sentenced to six months' community service yesterday in a decision denounced as an outrage by human rights organisations."

Just break this down for a sec, as an adult you take a club and beat an 11 year old child to death with it when you get to court you are only charged with manslaughter and are given a community service order and a fine.

BEAT AN 11 YEAR CHILD TO DEATH WITH A CLUB...COMMUNITY SERVICE ORDER:puke:

and once again you're using biased bullshit as a source, some of this lots particular bile includes:

"The Arabs asked for war; The Arabs wanted a war so badly and Israel gave them a war. Their war-mongering against Israel is "horrific by anyone's standards," as Peter Hansen put it."

"Israel cultivates Nobel laureates, Arabs cultivate suicide bombers"

it is published by a well known fascist and bigot Reuven Koret who suggested that America should bomb Mecca and destroy the Ka'aba if American targets were attacked again by terrorists bearing Muslim names, gee sounds like Ann Coulter.

As long as your sources are complete and total drivel written by bigots it's impossible to take any of your posts seriously

4. nothing unless you have a problem with rampant hypocrisy
it's BAAAD that the Pal Auth (who have no country, no official economy, no infrastructure) havn't prosecuted over some murders, it's oakily doakily that Israel hasn't.

The other point being that this article comes from a virulent racist and as such is easilly ignored by those who think credibility is important.

5. The PA is awful, and the Israelis don't value Palestinian life.
In other news, a cloudless sky is blue.

6. Who has killed more Americans?
First, the Israelis attacked the USS Liberty with heavy loss of life, including strafing sailors in lifeboats who attempted to help the stricken vessel. Anyone prosecuted then?
Then we have the recent murder of Rachel Corrie by an Israeli bulldozer operator and several other shootings of US ISM activists attempting to help Palestinian children out of harm's way.

“This has to stop. I think it is a good idea for us all to drop everything and devote our lives to making this stop. I don’t think it’s an extremist thing to do anymore. I really want to dance around to Pat Benatar and have boyfriends and make comics for my co-workers. But I also want this to stop. Disbelief and horror is what I feel. Disappointment. I am disappointed that this is the base reality of our world and that we, in fact, participate in it. This is not at all what I asked for when I came into this world. This is not at all what the people here asked for when they came into this world. This is not what they are asking for now. This is not the world you and Dad wanted me to come into when you decided to have me.”
- Rachel Corrie
in an email to her parents
before she was murdered
by an Israeli bulldozer operator.
