Five Dead, 10 Wounded in Gaza Attack
http://olympics.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=7322213

<snip>

"Palestinian militants staged an attack near an Israeli army base in the central Gaza Strip, witnesses and radios said, and Israeli rescue services said five people were killed and 10 wounded in the incident.

The Israeli Army said the bombing near the Karni crossing point between Israel and Gaza appeared to be the work of two suicide bombers.

Israel Radio said a huge bomb of up to 286 lb. had been detonated at the site, while rescue services reported militants were firing mortar rounds at the site shortly after the explosion and that Israeli troops exchanged fire with the attackers.

Israeli medics said they were treating five wounded and had moved four to hospital, but had difficulty reaching other casualties due to gunfire."

1. Not so funny since....."Abbas Ready to Meet Security Commitments"
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday that he is ready to honor the security commitments in an internationally backed peace plan, and a Hamas leader said the violent Islamic group does not seek to eliminate the Jewish state.

3. Ready is not the same thing as capable.

I'm ready to bring eternal peace and prosperity to the universe, but
I'm still working out how to get started.

FWIW, I was wrong, as near I can figure he got about 35% or so of
the electorate, assuming we believe what we are told, so he is more legitimate (by a good margin) than Ahnuld is in California.

6. Exactly !!
everytime he will be asked to clamp down on terrorists,he will conviently claim, he is not "capable".....riiiight.

I guess its hard to even try after politically performing fellatio on terrorists during the recent campaign.

7. You think he's faking it, I think he really lacks the means.
Like the US, say, lacks the means to stop the carnage in Iraq.
I do enjoy bashing Bush about the mess in Iraq, but there is little
he can do about it now that will make it better (other than leave).
But opinions will vary, as I like to say.

8. Is he a leader or not??
how about even trying ??.......once??

How about even giving a speech outlawing terrorit groups?

i quess its hard when you consider...

when abbas has stated that :

1.terrorists that kill innocents are NOT murderers

2.terrorists that kill innocents are NOT criminals

3.terrorists that kill innocents are "HONORABLE"

4.terrorists that kill innocents need to be protected so they can continue killing innocent people.

5.Israel is the "zionist enemy"

6.Terrorists that kill innocents are "freedom fighters"
