Sue Israel, not the bulldozer maker
Bulldozers don't kill people. People do.

Such thinking is why a federal lawsuit filed this week by the family of Rachel Corrie against a bulldozer manufacturer misses the mark.

Rachel, a smart, young woman of conviction, studied foreign affairs at The Evergreen State College in Olympia. She read about the plight of Palestinians and went to the Middle East to see their suffering. She saw how the Israeli government uses bulldozers to raze homes of suspected Palestinian terrorists and foster fear.

On March 16, 2003, Rachel, in an act of civil disobedience, stood in front of a bulldozer that was about to barrel into the home of a Palestinian family. She figured the military man behind the bulldozer's controls would see her eye-catching orange vest and stop. He didn't.

2. Israel did us worse with the USS Liberty bombing back in 1967
The Israeli government attacked a US vessel and killed and wounded our sailors on the Liberty, and what did the government do under LBJ? It turned a blind eye, and those sailors die of old age knowing the federal government did nothing.

Rachel Corrie is another sad chapter of the government not doing anything when it's Israel that "accidentally" kills Americans.

3. Israel is America's spoilt brat so to speak...
It can do whatever it wants and get away. I blame the Fundies and organizations like AIPAC for this behavior....

5. You can blame whoever you want - I would suggest some collateral reads
1. House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties by Craig Unger
2. A Century Of War : Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order by F. William Engdahl
3. Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power by Daniel Yergin
4. Out of Gas: The End of the Age of Oil by David Goodstein
5. Hubbert's Peak : The Impending World Oil Shortage By: Kenneth S. Deffeyes

I would also suggest that you Google:
1. Sykes-Picot
2. Sir Mark Sykes.

Then tell me who you blame.

And I blame the House of Saud, British Petroleum, Royal Dutch Shell, and Exxon-Mobil. I blame them collectively for using the Palestinian-Israeli situation as a diversion (as in smokescreen and scapegoat) from their own autocratic and corrupt regimes -- that have ripped off and exploited the "non-Royals" and "non-princelings" and "proletariat" among their own people.

I have spent three-quarters of a 40 plus year engineering career in the environmental and the alternative-renewable-and green energy fields. I have seen this close up -- and I was born and grew in a part of the US where the mineral industries have totally screwed the "locals"

6. I blame the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the House of Saud
The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem - who was subsidized by the Brits before WW2 - saw that he could get away attacking the Jewish Refugees who were able to sneak around the "White Paper" blockade (remember - this was before WW2 - but after Crystal Night and the Nuremberg Laws, and the "deportations" out of Germany) -- and the British didn't put their foot down.

House of Saud - totally corrupt autocrats who subsidize terrorist - but don't try to build a Palestinian society. Diverts attention from their own failings.

There's enough to go around - but the neither the British Colonial Office for Palestine nor the Grand Mufti nor the House of Saud are innocent -- nor were they conceived without Original Sin.

4. Facts on Liberty Are Wrong--

Subject Code: 5800
Subj: USS Liberty and USS Pueblo and the US Navy Chief of Naval Intelligence

Ref: a. http://www.usspueblo.org/
b. http://www.rotten.com/library/history/espionage/uss-pueblo/
c. http://www.answers.com/topic/uss-pueblo

I was a Coast Guard Comm Watch Officer when that attack occurred. I WAS FOLLOWING THE MESSAGE TRAFFIC!!!! My dad was a retired US Navy Intelligence Officer who the Naval Intelligence "Command Structure" almost killed by the same kind of screw up.

The Israelis saw a ship - went to the United States Defense Attache in Tel Aviv (he said no US ship was there - and that there were Russian "False flag" ships in the region).

The Liberty Looked like a Russian intelligence ship. (I am a Coast Guard Veteran - LIEUTENANT - I did the Cuban blockade - I shadowed Russian intelligence ships-- I know what Russian Intelligence Trawlers look like --- --I have an Underway Officer of the Deck letter)

Israel's defense ministry nect contacted the Fleet UD Commander at Naples - repeat - no US ship there. Advised that "false flagged" Russian intelligence ships were in the area.

Israel's defense ministry then contacted Commander, US Naval Forces Europe in London. Again - no US ship there.

Israel's defense ministry then contacted both Commander in Chief Atlantic and Commander in Chief Atlantic Fleet -- again. No US ship there.

Israel's defense ministry then contacted the Chief of Naval Intelligence in Arlington VA -- again denial that a US ship was there.

BTW - check this out in the Unclassified Report on the USS Pueblo (the sister ship that was captured by the North Koreans in Feb 68). I was at the Command Center on Treasure Island when the Pueblo was captured -- and the Navy didn't even know that there were intelligence assets there. Also check it out in Lloyd Boucher's book.

That's the way Naval Intelligence operates - that's how they almost killed my Dad.

And, remember, the Chief of Naval Intelligence does not take orders from the Chief of Naval Operations but from the Secretary of Defense and the Director of Central Intelligence. And, the Chief of Naval Intelligence plays "hard ball politics." He set out to destroy Admiral Jeremy "Mike" Boorda - and he did.

Get your facts straight.

Your interest in the Navy and Coast Guard is appreciated.

"Coastie"
Lieutenant, USCGR (honorably discharged with a friggin DD214CG)
