Mofaz: PA agents involved in arms smuggling into Gaza
I dunno if it's a "red line" but it would certainly be awkward.

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Sunday that Palestinian Authority military intelligence agents were involved in recent attempts to smuggle anti-aircraft missiles into Gaza.

Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, Mofaz said Strela missiles may have been smuggled into the Gaza Strip from Egypt through tunnels, despite the fact that the PA has recently acted against such infrastructure and exposed about 20 tunnels.

Mofaz said that the presence of the missiles in Palestinian hands would cross a red line, adding that Israel demanded the PA work to prevent such efforts and locate any missiles that may already be in the Gaza
Strip.

The minister did not disclose when the alleged smuggling took place.

1. And another take:
On their part, Palestinian officials denied Mofaz's accusations, claiming he was trying to divert attention from Israeli violations of the Feb. 8 cease-fire agreement. "Mofaz and the Israeli government are trying to hide the truth by sending this statement to the public," a senior Palestinian security official said, according to The AP.

2.  Security sources fear anti-aircraft missile attacks

Security sources said Tuesday they are concerned that anti-aircraft missiles the defense minister has said were recently smuggled into the Gaza Strip might be moved into the West Bank and used against commercial aircraft flying over central Israel.

---

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz told the cabinet earlier this week that Israel suspects that members of the Palestinian Authority's military intelligence service were involved in smuggling shoulder-launched Strela anti-aircraft missiles into the Gaza Strip.

Such missiles, which are capable of striking an airplane more than three kilometers above the ground, were recently smuggled into Gaza from Egypt via tunnels in the Rafah area, despite the PA's success in uncovering 17 to 20 such tunnels, Mofaz said.

He added that Israel has demanded the PA find and collect all the smuggled missiles, which he defined as "crossing a red line."
