I have serious doubts about whether Bin Laden had anything to do with the attacks on the World Trade Center. It's been a nagging suspicion for awhile, but it really hit home to me when I was reading an editorial by Jimmy Breslin of the New York Times. He was mentioning how on the first day of the RNC there was not one mention of Osama Bin Laden. Well, it could be that they didn't mention him because he still hasn't been caught. But on the other hand, he went completely off the radar screen as soon as their attention turned to Iraq.

Just think about it. The biggest crime ever committed that kills almost 3,000 people, but yet he is not a priority anymore? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Unless, of course, as many have suspected, it was a way to jump-start an agenda that otherwise would never have been accepted by the American people.

Then I read Michael Rupperts speech yesterday accusing people at the highest levels (Cheney and others) of perpetrating the attack. It is a must read for anyone. I will post the line below.

Anyway, I just don't think if Bin Laden was responsible, we would be getting statements that Bush had made, such as he just doesn't think much about him anymore. How can that possibly be, if he actually was the mastermind behind this crime.

2. yep. do some searches on LIHOP / MIHOP -- lots of stuff on DU
I'm borderline LIHOP (I don't want to believe it), but all that really matters is the LIH part (let it happen)

repeat it over and over

bush let it happen.

3. if they caught bin Laden
they'd have a nearly impossible task making anything related to 9-11 stick in court.

not that he'd get an actual trial.

4. But wouldn't it have been easier to blame it on someone else?

I'm just wondering about the strong ties between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family...seems like it would be easier to blame someone else instead of causing any problems with this relationship.

5. I've had my doubts since 9/12...
but there's no real evidence one way or the other.

Lotta speculation, but little hard evidence.

6. Not me.
Bush says on 3/15/02 that OBL is not a priority....effectively stopping the discussion of gittin' OBL. Personally, I think he knew he was dead, but still useful as boogeyman to drag out and scare the US public with.

I agree that the plan to invade Iraq was something that was a done deal the minute this administration took power. I think the reason Cheney has kept a lid on the Secret Energy Meetings is because this was the actualplanning sessions for dividing up the Iraqioilfieds between the Big Oil interests. They had to be onboard before the invasion/occupation could be marketed to the American people.

7. You were wrong
you did not get any grief at all.
Most people think that Osama has bin Forgotten for a reason.
And the "evidence" doesn't add up -- unless you are an Enron accountant.
