Arlen Specter claimed that JFK was STANDING when he was shot

see http://www.assassinationscience.com/ArlenSpecterandtheMagicBullet.pdf

Here is an excerpt from the last paragraph in the article:

"That JFK had an entry wound to his throat, that the

“magic bullet” theory is anatomically impossible, and that the

autopsy X-rays have been altered not only implicates the

government in a conspiracy to conceal the truth about the

death of our 35th president but suggests that the most likely

explanation for governmental complicity in the cover-up is

governmental complicity in the crime. So if this man, Arlen

Specter, really has a "passion for truth", as his book

proclaims, why is he saying so many things to the American

people that are provably false?"

2. You didn't read the article. Or, are you purposely trying to mislead
people?

Now, what about helping out Ohio Joe?

4. I know enough about Specter's claims to know he doesn't say JFK was standing.
That's something you and the author have twisted what he did say in order to come up with that absurdity.

And Connolly was turning to the right.

(That's Arlen on the left.)

7. Do you have any proof that Specter ever said anything of the sort?
Edited on Mon May-18-09 12:32 PM by SDuderstadt
Hint: of course you don't.

E.T.A. The funny thing is, if you click on the link that Fetzer deceptively captions as "an interview" giving the reader the impression it links to the interview in which Fetzer claims that Specter made the "seven claims". Of course, it doesn't; it actually links to more text from Fetzer in which he CLAIMS that's what Specter said. Did you bother to fact-check this in any way??

8. I wonder if the actual WABC transcript is available, because
if it isn't, then that means Professor Fetzer is a liar, but here's a quote from the link:

"During
an interview about his new book, PASSION FOR TRUTH, on 4 March 2001 with Paul
Alexander and John Batchelor on WABC, which lasted seven minutes, Arlen Specter
asserted seven claims about the assassination of JFK and the "magic" bullet theory
that are not simply false but actually provably false. His assertions and the
grounds on which we know they are false are as follows: (1) that JFK was standing
when he was hit: provably false. We have more than 200 Dealey Plaza witnesses
and 500 photographic records--counting the Zapruder film as one--that prove he
was sitting, not standing, when he was killed;

10. Maybe WABC's website?

Fetzer would be very foolish to libel WABC, so I don't think he's lying. It's hard to say about Specter, though.

11. Fetzer will say anything

...and merely claiming that someone said something on WABC does not defame WABC.

12. I don't agree, but I WILL say that Specter is well known for saying

outrageous things that are extremely unlikely to even be possible, much less true. He's also something of a comedian, and
Seinfeld fans are also indebted to him for his comedic inspiration.

I seriously doubt it exists.

14. These two guys interviewed Specter on 3/1/01 on WABC
On
March 4, 2001, he gave an interview to Paul Alexander and
John Batchelor on WABC...

Have you tried contacting them or WABC? Or Senator Specter's office?

17. WABC isn't known for allowing its airwaves to be used for
allowing people to slander a U.S. Senator, but you're free to believe otherwise if you so choose.

18. rewind
Fetzer says that Specter said something on WABC. It's hard to believe that Specter said it, because it is so nonsensical and, as far as I know, inconsistent with Specter's own other statements on the issue. Assuming for the sake of argument that he did say it, it's hard to believe that he means it, or that it has any bearing on what happened to JFK. If you, Fetzer, or anyone else would like to make the case that he said it, he meant it, and it matters, by all means go ahead.

Regardless, it's not a matter of WABC allowing people to slander a U.S. Senator, nor of Fetzer libeling WABC.

19. As has been said, Specter is something of a comedian
I've seen his "act" on youtube and some of it is pretty good, in my opinion.

As has also been pointed out, Specter's magic bullet theory is anatomically impossible and is something he came up with
all by his lonesome. It's so egregiously insane that even Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld used it as the basis for one of the
most loved of all the Seinfeld show episodes.

I agree that Specter's claims have no bearing on what happened to JFK - but some people still believe in magic.

21. Which part?
Wishing that Specter would finally come clean about the magic bullet theory, or that he would give up the notion that
he's funny?
