"May 18, 2009 – More than 40 U.S. Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence Agency veterans have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and most have called for a new investigation. It is outrageous that most Americans are entirely unaware of their publicly stated concerns -- a direct result of the refusal of national print and broadcast news organizations to cover this extremely important issue. There is no denying the credibility of these individuals or their loyalty to their country as demonstrated by their years of service collecting and analyzing information and planning and carrying out operations critical to the national security of the United States.

These 41 individuals formerly served in the U.S. State Department, the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the branches of the U.S. Military. Man, when you put it that way, it sounds really stupid.

41 U.S. Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence Agency Veterans have no more credibility than 41 construction workers with high-school educations. Another sad fact. Out of how many? Tens of thousands... at least. I wonder what they actually said, hmmmm, seems they do not provide a single quote from any of them. They also don't seem to provide any links to any information about any of them... just list their various service records... not even when that service was. Curious so little is said, I wonder why that could be?

Here's the thing. Those who oppose a new investigation have successfully coined the effort as one that is exclusive to proving "an inside job". They will ignore the possibility that a new investigation might bring new facts and insight into the events leading up to, and following the events of that day. There is no interest, or dare I say, there is some fear, that a new investigation might reveal things that some would rather see buried, whether it is duplicity, incompetence, or a combination of the two. There is definately a clear opposition to the truth. Anyone who denies this is either ignorant, lying, stupid, or duplicitous. I'll assume ignorance since there is no way anyone could call being accused of ignorance an actual insult. I will admit to ignorance on many issues, however, I will not admit to ignorance when logic clearly prevails. As long as the "truth movement" defines themselve as those who go along with the oppositions argument that 9/11 was MIHOP or LIHOP, and limit themselves to those parameters, they will never get the independent investigation they desire. If those parameters are broadened, the likelihood of said investigation increases. Once the independent investigation starts, if it leads to more than what was revealed during the 9/11 commission session no matter how far it takes us, I would assume that any real American, a true patriot, a champion of what America is supposed to stand for would embrace the factual truth, and support whatever that investigation reveals. If the opposition to a new independent investigation turns out to be correct, then the "truth movement" should acknowledge such and apologize to any who they may have disparaged. Besides, after a hundred-million dollar Whitewater, what's a few more million bucks? Thanks.
