As far as I'm concerned, Van Jones has NOTHING to aplogize for...
... though he has done so in the weeks leading up to his decision to resign.

We're supposed to be a nation of laws. Any American of reasonable intelligence questions authority before blindly being led into a controlled theory.

But you just try to place anyone of intelligence asked as much of their leaders (a proper investigation into 9/11) - asking for accountability... and, whamo...

"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," Jones, special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, said in a statement announcing his resignation just after midnight Saturday. "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."

He continued: "I have been inundated with calls -- from across the political spectrum -- urging me to 'stay and fight.' But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future."

Jones issued two public apologies in recent days, one for signing a petition that questioned whether Bush administration officials "may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war" and the other for using a crude term to describe Republicans in a speech he gave before joining the administration.

It's a pity to see how far the well controlled deflectors of what happened on 9/11 are willing to go. We need to move this nation forward.

1. green light, red light
All this will do is keep more responsible people from voicing their absolutely reasonable doubts about the official story.

Of course, this is what the powers-that-be want.

This is very disheartening.

2. Welcome to DU-
Hey, I played that game with my sister and brother growing up. I questioned the way my sister would get carried away from time to time with her empowering red light, queen of the hill position of power.

Red light- "Time for all you to stop asking silly questions, go to the penalty box, you questioner!"
Green light- "Nothing to worry about, keep walking towards me, till I go to red, motherfucker..."

3. Thank you. Indeed...
And, in this case — when you actually do reach the queen thinking it's now your turn to call the shots — you're simply accused of "failure to freeze" and sent back to the starting line.

We need a new game here.
