How well-established is the claim that Madeleine Brown was LBJ's mistress?

Madeleine Brown claims to have been Lyndon Johnson's mistress for 20 years, and to have had his only child, Steven Mark Brown, who was born in 1950 and died in 1990.

Brown can be seen in this video claiming that LBJ once told her, "After tomorrow those SOB's will never embarrass me again".

I'd like to know if there is any dispute as to whether Brown was LBJ's mistress.

2. Luci & Linda Johnson might take issue with Steven Mark Brown

being refered to as LBJ's "only child". Unless Lady Bird was having her own fun on the side as well.
