A Nobel awaits you and I'm dying to see the math that supports it.

I have a radio controlled wall clock that picks up the WWV signal, and I use it to synchronize to my watches and every other clock in the house.

The other day I was fixing the shape of my panama hat, which is a straw wide-brim fedora. I put some water from my water cooler into a tea kettle, and put the kettle on the stove to get some steam going. After steaming and re-shaping the hat, I walked back past the cooler and looked at the time on the clock built into the cooler, and it was a minute ahead of both my watch and my radio controlled clock.

That was odd, because I had just synched that clock a few days before, and it shouldn't have been that far off.

When timing the difference, I found that it was EXACTLY one minute ahead of my other synchronized timepieces.

Pretty weird you should mention that, and I still can't figure out how it would have gotten off by one minute to the second.

Now I know.
