Have you ever looked at the index of Baylor U's JFK archives?

The other day I stumbled on this page:

http://www.baylor.edu/lib/poage/jfk/index.php?id=60200

Have you ever explored that stuff? Apparently Baylor acquired significant collections of materials from various sources.

And this is just one page of the index!

1. Wow, that lady was apparently the "housewife" I heard about who cross-indexed the entire...
...26-volume Warren Commission report. It's really funny, I'd never heard of her in any other context aside from "housewife"- sounds like she wound up getting into lots more stuff, including starting her own radio program. I haven't heard of her before tonight or heard any of her broadcasts but I think it's really interesting how certain situations or events can kick-start a person, shift their entire life, into something completely new or different than what they were before.

2. here's the blurb on her
From the Baylor web site:

Mae Brussell, an investigative radio host, was acutely interested in Conspiracies and UFOlogy.

By the time President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 Mae was married with five kids and living in Southern California. Like many Americans, she wasn't convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the assassination, so she bought the 26-volume Warren Commission Hearings and began reading, filing, and cross-indexing. With the massive addition of books, articles, and government documents, Mae not only found connections to the CIA and Germany, but began to see relationships to many other current and past events throughout the world. < information adapted from http://www.projectcamelot.org/brussell.html >

Our library has purchased the radio tapes from www.maebrussell.com

4. Mae Brussel is fantastic -- but not sure that it was she who cross-indexed 26 Vol Warren Commission
Edited on Sun Sep-25-11 05:16 AM by defendandprotect
report -- I do think it was another woman -- and believe her last name

began with an "M" -- but at the moment can't recall -- ?????

However, Mae Brussel did astonishing work on the JFK assassination and many

other conspiracies --

Reading Mae Brussel -- or listening to here radio shows -- certainly helps to

get your head screwed on straight!

I'll try to check the other info and/or hope someone else here knows about the

indexing????

5. I believe Mae Brussell indexed the Warren Report. Are you thinking of Mary Ferrell?
Edited on Wed Sep-28-11 01:21 PM by Octafish
Mrs. Ferrell collected all she could from the time, preserving details on people and their connections to the assassination:

They both are heroic figures in the history of the United States.

3. Thank you -- I'm a big fan of Mae Brussel -- she can certainly wake you up like no one else ....
and this is a long list of subjects that I wasn't familiar with and will happily be

listening to in the next few days -- and will share this thread at another website --

:)
