White House: There's no sign of E.T. or UFO cover-up
"The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race," Phil Larson from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy reported on the WhiteHouse.gov website."In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye."

3. Reminds me of when Obama felt pressured enough to announce that there was no 9/11 "inside job" -- !!
There's been a great upsurge in UFO/ET info on the internet and TV --

and some very lame attempts at response --

Meanwhile if you want to see some real tin foil -- take a look at the landing

module -- YIKES!

11. So, the gov't is saying
"there is no credible information to suggest that the gov't, which is us, is hiding any evidence from the public's eye."

Even Jimmy Carter couldn't find out anything about what the gov't knew or might have known about UFOs. He saw an unidentified flying object and filed a report on it. When as president he asked then CIA Director George H. W. Bush for a briefing on the topic of UFOs, Bush turned him down, claiming that neither as President nor as Commander-in-Chief did Jimmy Carter have a "need to know." President Carter got nowhere with NASA either.

I don't know if the gov't is hiding UFO info, but if they are, they're going to keep hiding it for as long as possible. The recent proclamation by Phil Larson doesn't mean squat.

13. If aliens
are zipping around out there (I seriously doubt they are, but I think there’s a slight chance of it), they could make their presence known if they wanted to, regardless of any cover up attempts by world governments. All they’d have to do is land one of their crafts in a metro area. If they didn’t want to chance their craft being blown to smithereens by our military, they could choose another way to make their presence known – something less in-your-face. Maybe that’s what the deal is with all the cat and mouse games. Either the aliens want to continue playing cat and mouse with earthlings for whatever reason/s they might have, or there are no aliens zipping around out there. That’s my opinion.

I don’t see how earthbound aliens could be biological entities. I think it’s more likely that, if they exist at all, they’re intelligent machines.

24. Well, what you have to think about is ....what else might stop them other than
the physical ability to let us see them and to communicate with us --

let's say in Central Park and at similar land marks in other areas.

But they'd be communicating with the general public directly -- save for

the press which would want to be the middle man.

What might the first question be these days?

I'd guess it would be about Global Warming -- ?

If the reports we are getting are accurate, we don't have much of a future on this

planet. Will they be removing all of us and wisking us off to safety? hmmmm....

If we are hybrids -- and most scientists seem to think so -- then we were engineered

perhaps 375,000 years ago! Evidently, to be made into "their imagine" takes a while!!

And we may be dealing with people who are a billion years ahead of us in intelligence/

knowledge? Prsumably school is still on -- and we're far from being able to graduate?

After all, we've just pretty much ruined our own planet -- !!

And ... who are you talking about in this comment -- ?

I don’t see how earthbound aliens could be biological entities. I think it’s more likely that, if they exist at all, they’re intelligent machines.

Are you talking about greys?

31. You don't know about the "greys"?
Greys are the guys who can walk thru walls --

Paralyze you -- do experiments on you on spaceships --

Some think they are artificial life created -- robots -- to do this work.

Kind of same theory that we were created as labor to do mining work --

and in a rebellion gained our freedom?

However, there seems to be a spirit about the greys -- some unpleasant --

some very pleasant emotionally -- they can seem to be vulnerable at times -- oddly?

But recall from a book that John Mack -- Harvard Professor -- studying the abduction

phenomena had written -- one abductee work up in her bed and looked up to find the

grey still in her room -- and trying on her high heels!!

You can't make up stuff like that!!

22. Good question .... especially since the first abductees reported very serious warnings ....
Edited on Sat Nov-12-11 12:42 AM by defendandprotect
about the environment --- which videos they were shown seemed to end up in a

nuclear holocaust --

Later the warnings stopped -- but the abductions have continued on since the

1960's -- about 1500 a year.

And needless to say, almost 50 years later oil industry's campaign to deny Global

Warming is still ongoing -- though in last few years, most Americans have woken

up about it.

Presumably we can make a few conclusions re your question ---

First, that the aliens don't necessarily go about things the way we thing they

ought to --

Second, that in many cases they seem to be communicating on a higher level of

intelligence -- the crop circle pitographs are one example. A world of knownledge

is required to decode them. Some, yes, are obvious, but mostly not except to someone

with a very broad education or access to a broad range of knowledge.

Third, think we tend to presume that we are dealing with one or two or even three

alien species? The astronauts used to refer to them as the "Heinz57Varieties" but

evidently there are something more than 300 known species of aliens.

And, however, it has come about -- force or perhaps as a way to deal with our insecurities --

some of the reports suggest that some part of our MIC is working with actual aliens to

some degree, notably on developing flying saucers -- which it would be fairly simple to

predict would only be used by us as weapons? Difficult to understand since aside from

theories of ancient battles on this planet between aliens, we have been the one sending up

planes to shoot them down and firing missiles at them in near outer space!

Fourth, many of us common folk on this planet are coming to the realization that Global

Warming having been hidden/denied by the oil industry since the late 1950's -- and with

their current control of Congress -- is probably too far gone to remedy and that we are

already at a crisis stage. Do you think the aliens would want to confirm that?

Six, if that is anywhere near true then their last mission here may be to pick up the

abductees they have prepared over a long period of time for a new life not on this planet?

If the planet survives -- it may be 10,000 years before it is inhabitable at all again?

But, no one can guarantee that this planet will survive the chaos and survive.

Otoh, some like Bob Dean have spoken of us being in a far corner of the outer universe

and suggests that they will be rounding us up and getting us settled with the rest of the

universe at some point.

I'm sure there are much better answers but we don't have many pieces of the puzzle to work

with.

28. "we don't have many pieces of the puzzle to work with"

I had no idea there were 300 known species of aliens.

But even if their plan, or at least the ones in charge of the plan described above, were not secret, it wouldn't matter.

There are some things I don't quite get, though.

Why wait to round up the abductees at some later time? Why not just round them up as they go. Why wait for some future event to round them up? I mean, you go through all of that trouble to pick them out, but what if next week they get hit by a car or something? Why have some abductees died of old age before being rounded up?

30. Either did I ... you know reincarnation used to be taught by all the worlds major religions ....
until it became inconvenient for elites --

but think many think in terms of a few lifetimes -- however others talk

about reincarnation being a 100 lifetimes -- or more!

Long trip to Nirvana!

And that we don't have more more pieces of the puzzle doesn't mean that others don't --

Well, 300 aliens is a rather loose count by Bob Dean, as I recall --

but at least one species is said to be rather aggressive -- reptilians.

Re this ....

But even if their plan, or at least the ones in charge of the plan described above, were not secret, it wouldn't matter.

the original visitors to this planet may no longer exist -- if any of this is true.

Then how do 300 different species come to agreement on what our destiny might be?

But who says there is a plan? What I think most worry about -- and RW like Strom

Turnmond pushed -- was that they are violent and had violent plans for us.

There are some things I don't quite get, though.

First -- I have no idea -- but in the guessing area, it's presumed that moving them to another

planet could be difficult. From what I've read -- if this holocaust does happen here -- there

would be a "shift of time" as best I can describe it -- and the abductees would be brought back

here, but it would be 10,000 years later! Some report that their diets have been altered --

that they can only eat animals. This is not to my knowledge widespread among the abductees, but

I have heard it about a few.

If you're at all familiar with the abuductees -- or tales from ancient times -- fetuses in

containers, kept alive with liquid substance seems to be mentioned quite often. Also seem to

be problems with the offspring being weak. Needless to say, that leads to the assumption that

the adults would not be able to survive in space -- whatever.

Would be interesting to know what the existence of those who have reported being abducted has

been like since the first abduction. Some report lifelong abductions. But, allegedly no one

has kept track of these reports? hmmm.... Perhaps only the Men in Black know?

Now I've scared myself and I have to go to bed!

18. Yes, Carter
Edited on Fri Nov-11-11 01:20 PM by frogmarch
said “no” when asked if the Poppy Bush refusal claim was true.

This must be how that story got started:

http://www.presidentialufo.com/jimmy-carter/93-jimmy-carter-ufo

snip:

According to Daniel Sheehan a Harvard trained lawyer, social activist, and founder of the Christic Institute, Jimmy Carter approached the CIA, FBI, and NASA seeking answers to what the federal agencies knew about the UFO situation. Sheehan was to play a part in one of Carter’s main efforts to give the public an answer to the UFO mystery.

Sheehan on Carter and his UFO sighting:

snip:

"He didn’t communicate this with the Congress but I found out," continued Sheehan, " that as soon as he (Carter) had come to office ... he called in the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and he said ‘I want to have the information that we have on UFOs and extraterrestrial intelligence. I want to know about this as President.’ The person who happened to be the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency at that time happened to be George Bush – and George Bush told him no, that he wasn’t going to give this to him ... that this was information that existed on a need-to-know basis only. Simple curiosity on the part of the President wasn’t adequate."

This refusal to provide information, along with a general distrust of George Bush and the Republicans, led Carter to replace Bush as his Director of Central Intelligence. Carter hoped that by replacing Bush he could get honest answers to problems like UFOs that required the most closely-held intelligence.

~~~
In the video whose link you posted, Carter said, “I can’t say there aren’t reports that haven’t been revealed for defense purposes...” but that he didn’t think the gov’t was hiding any information on UFO contact.
After the Carter interview, the podcast people had a hissy fit about Carter’s insistence that the object he saw wasn’t Venus. They insisted it was Venus he saw, probably Venus and its halo, and then went on and on about optical illusions.
Here’s a link to the report that Carter filled out regarding his sighting of whatever it was he saw:
http://www.nicap.org/waves/CarterSightingRptOct1969.pdf
Carter says the object was sharply defined. Are halos sharply defined? Maybe they are on Jesus statues, but I suspect Venus halos are not.
UFO debunkers (not to be confused with true skeptics) don’t want anyone to consider the possibility that any unidentified flying objects could be alien crafts, and they feverishly come up with a myriad of alternative explanations for what the objects were, even in instances where people reporting UFO sightings don't suggest what they saw were alien crafts.
Here’s a link to an invited essay by Richard Henry of Johns Hopkins:
http://www.scientificexploration.org/journal/jse_02_2_henry.pdf
RICHARD C. HENRY
Abstract-
In 1977 President Carter's Science Advisor recommended that a
small panel of inquiry be formed by NASA to see if there had been any new
significant findings on UFOs since the US Air Force-sponsored investiga-
tion of UFOs ("Condon Report") a decade earlier. Five months later,
NASA responded to that recommendation by proposing "to take no steps
to establish a research activity in this area or to convene a symposium on
the subject." This article offers a partial inside look at how that decision
was made at NASA.
When Carter was asked by Dr. Henry if he’d had anything to do with Science Advisor Frank Press’s letters to NASA recommending that a panel of inquiry be set up to see if there was anything new on UFOs since the Condon Report, Carter said “no.”
pointed out that on the video President Carter denied having asked Bush for access to UFO info and being turned down.
I am glad to have the information that the rumor saying it happened is false - well, false unless Carter was lying when he said "no" as to if it was true. I don't consider Jimmy Carter a liar.
As for the rest of my post, I followed some links that accompanied the video and found out more about Carter and his supposed interest in UFOs. It doesn't appear that he's ever been very interested in them.
Thanks for posting a link to the video. I am always glad to be corrected when info I've posted is wrong. :thumbsup:
27. Jimmy Carter seemed to be a highly threatened president ---
Evidently the FBI/CIA did their best to frighten the hell out of him with regular
reports of people plotting his murder!
Re the helicopter missions which went down -- they were under the command of Ollie
North -- second in command, Secord!
And they just happened to have neglected to have the necessary attachments to engines
which blocked sand from entering the engies hooked up!
Rather, I think the info seems to suggest that the story is true --
Sheehan is also a reliable investigator --
PLUS we know that Bill Clinton also wanted to answers to two question --
Who killed JFK -- and UFO's -- !!
And, Clinton has also made very clear that he wasn't given any info, either!!
So -- tend to think that the Carter story is true -- but wouldn't look to him to confirm it!
26. Your info looks more like confirmation of Bush denial of info to Carter ....
According to Daniel Sheehan a Harvard trained lawyer, social activist, and founder of the Christic Institute, Jimmy Carter approached the CIA, FBI, and NASA seeking answers to what the federal agencies knew about the UFO situation. Sheehan was to play a part in one of Carter’s main efforts to give the public an answer to the UFO mystery.
"He didn’t communicate this with the Congress but I found out," continued Sheehan, " that as soon as he (Carter) had come to office ... he called in the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and he said ‘I want to have the information that we have on UFOs and extraterrestrial intelligence. This refusal to provide information, along with a general distrust of George Bush and the Republicans, led Carter to replace Bush as his Director of Central Intelligence. Carter hoped that by replacing Bush he could get honest answers to problems like UFOs that required the most closely-held intelligence.
If pressed later, can imagine that Carter might try to deny it --
and he did remove Bush from CIA.
And quite a hefty number of CIA agents from CIA - 400?
The report by Carter on the sighting is interestign to see, but very difficult to read --
poor copy of his report.
