Canadian Film: The Great Conspiracy: The 9-11 News Special You Never Saw

Filmmaker brings alternative look at Sept. 11 to UM

Disturbing questions come to light in Barry Zwicker's documentary film which dedicates its entire 71 minutes to the horrific events that unfolded on American soil on Sept. 11, 2001.

Pitched as the "Canadian Michael Moore," Zwicker, a respected and renown Canadian journalist, turns his scrutiny south of his homeland and prods where no American journalist has yet dared, said Paul Lachapelle, a spokesperson for the University of Montana's Students for Peace and Justice.

"He gives a perspective people haven't gotten from mainstream American media," Lachapelle said. "The film begins to ask a lot of difficult questions that haven't been addressed in the media, or by the current administration, or even the 9-11 commission."


Why, for instance, are there no photos that show an airplane hitting the Pentagon? Why has no airplane wreckage been found near the Pentagon?

Why did it take 411 days for the 9-11 commission to actually get started, when it took but nine days for investigations to begin after Pearl Harbor?

The film has no conclusive answers, however it does point to theories and facts that have gone unnoticed and ignored, Lachapelle said.

a perfectly good one exists. Yes, they had adequate and specific warning pre 9/11. Yes, they ignored those warnings, either through design or staggering incompetence, probably a combination of the two.

However:

First, the cameras are all stop action. Each camera had slightly less than a 2% chance of capturing a jet traveling at that speed. Even if you multiply that by 10 cameras, there was only a 20% chance. Second, the Pentagon won't release those photos because they would give a clue as to the location of the cameras that took them. Think of what a determined terrorist might do if he analysed those shots and was able to determine how to use blind spots to breach security. Most of the wreckage was contained within the hardened building. Some sheet metal was found up to 100 yardss away, dispersed by the force of the blast. The wreckage was there. It just didn't look like a plane after it exploded.

"Why did it take 411 days for the 9-11 commission to actually get started, when it took but nine days for investigations to begin after Pearl Harbor?" Well, they stonewalled and stonewalled, noping nobody would notice that they ignored those adequate and specific warnings.

I hate to disappoint conspiracy buffs, but the truth is usually a lot more boring than any elegant theory. In this case, the truth is that we have an ideologically blind and illegally installed government that sacrificed 3000 of our fellow citizens to consolidate their power and because they were short sighted and incompetent. I think that should be enough of a conspiracy for any of us.

Stop action cameras? In this day and age? Don't think so my friend...
What about the video camera at the gas station and at the hotel? Security breach? Oh, that has already happen - you know 911. What else do they have to loose?

Ever see a plane wreck? No matter what, there is always discernible wreckage. Not at the Pentagon - rather suspicious don't you think?

The engine parts do NOT appear to come off a Boeing 757.
The luggage was undented and the contents were not touched by fire, water or anything of that nature.
and bodies were unsinged, unmarked and lying down in full dress uniform.
The hole does NOT fit the size of the plane. Two cars at the impact point remained there although they burts into flames. Neither the lawn nor the Pentagon floor was in any way damaged.
The plane is alleged to have entered between the first and second floors. The initial photos where the firemen were spraying foam do not show any hole.
The eyewitnesses include such GOP luminaries as Bobby Eberle and Alfred S. Regnery who are NOT known to be at all truthful.

The hotel employees were SHOCKED by what they saw.
It is my impression that these employees are FORBIDDEN to speak on the matter.

"First, the cameras are all stop action." How do you know this? There were security cameras all aroung the Pentagon perimter...I'm quite sure they'd employ state-of-art videotape. But instead, they release 5 frames of a entry point video camera that is obviously doctored and of such poor quality as to be useless in determining anything about the plane.

All we want to see is clear evidence of the damn plane, so the speculation can cease...is that too much to ask or expect?

So, if it is "by design", then you must agree that it is LIHOP, right? And if it was "staggering incompetence" than there is a case for impeachment as they failed their oath of office. Impeachment should begin and they should then be tried for criminal manslaughter in the deaths of 3,000 people. That would also infer that the 9/11 commission was a sham because those that are suspect in letting it happen "by design" and/or "staggering incompetence" also chose the commission, controlled the evidence, and perjured their testimony (or circumvented it by not testifying under oath).

So if you belive this, why are you making a case defending the official 9/11 theory? Remember, no one has been held accountable. In fact, those that would seem to have failed us (Tenet, Rice, the people in charge of airport security, military leadership (Meyer's in particular), certain FBI SAIC's), have gotten medals or job promotions. Should we feel safer today that these same people are pretty much still in charge of our national security? I don't we should.

That really caught my eye, because I hadn't heard anything about Eberle and Flight 77. I just did a DU search and found it's been mentioned in a few recent threads, but usually with people suggesting Eberle was lying for purposes of self-promotion. This Xymphora entry is the first thing I've seen suggesting that it has a far deeper significance.

The route from where I'm staying to my conference hotel runs right by the Pentagon. As we slowly crept along in traffic at about 9:30 am, we rounded a bend and had the Pentagon in our sites -- right in front of us. . . .

Riding in a convertable with the top down, I then heard a tremendously loud noise from behind me and to my left. I looked back and saw a jet airliner flying very low and very fast. It's amazing what can run through your mind in just a matter of seconds. As a pilot, I can't help but look at an airplane and think about airplane topics. . . .

The aircraft was so very low -- as an aircraft would be on its final approach to an airport. However, if you have watched any aircraft come in for a landing, even though the aircraft is descending, it is angled up slightly. This aircraft was angled downward. In addition, landing gear would also be visible on a aircraft so low and so near landing. This aircraft had its landing gear retracted. Finally, an aircraft on final approach is traveling rather slowly. This aircraft sped by very loudly and very quickly.

All of this flashed in my mind as the aircraft passed from behind my left shoulder to in front of me. It was then that the other events of the morning crystallized in the realization that tragedy was about to occur. With all of these images spinning in my head, the only words that came out of my mouth were "Oh no!" With that, the airliner crashed into the Pentagon and exploded.It's always seemed to me that the main problem with the highly tinfoil theories about Flight 77 was the large number of eyewitness accounts. But many of those eyewitnesses were people who were at some distance, looking from hotel windows, or otherwise limited in their perspective. There were only a few people who claimed to have seen the crash in detail and close up. And only one of those was a pilot, an aerospace engineer, and riding as a passenger in a convertible with the top down, giving him an absolutely unobstructed view.

And that one cream of the crop witness was Bobby Eberle?

THE DAY OF 9.11

1. BUSH‚S PUZZLING REACTION TO „AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK‰: Why did he just sit there, listening to a story about a Pet Goat, for a full 25
minutes while he knew America was under attack? How did the Secret
Service know that he wasn't a target?

2. U.S. AIR FORCE ASLEEP OR ON STAND DOWN: Why were no fighter jets scrambled in time from 5 nearby Air Force bases to intercept the
hijacked planes? Normal procedure for the FAA is to call in Air Force
interceptors the minute any plane deviates even slightly off course.
Between Sept. 2000-June 2001, fighters were scrambled 67 times.

3. WTC TWIN TOWERS COLLAPSE DUE TO FIRE: No steel structured building in the world has ever collapsed due to fire. WTC Building 6, for
example, burned for several hours at very hot temperatures and didn‚t
collapse. The First Interstate Bank Building in Los Angeles burned
intensely for more than 3 hours in 1988, and yet there was no damage to
the main structural members. It did not collapse.

4. THE „PANCAKE THEORY‰ AND THE SPEED OF THE WTC COLLAPSE: The Twin Towers came down in 15 seconds or less ... as fast as a free-falling
object. The „official story‰ claims that they fell due to the pancake
theory. This theory requires each floor to hit, then collapse the
floor below it, which takes time. How could the buildings fall at the
speed of gravity and yet, at the same time, overcome such massive
resistance from the steel structure below?

5. SEISMIC DATA AND THERMAL HOT SPOTS AT WTC SITE: The scientific
data discovered after the collapses indicate contradictions to the
official story. Seismic activity, as documented by Columbia University
Seismology Group, just doesn‚t add up. Thermal surface maps show that
there were several „hot spots,‰ with temperatures of over 1000
Fahrenheit on the surface. The area continued to smoke for weeks,
hardly the outcome of a „normal‰ collapse due to a fire.

6. THE CRASH OF FLIGHT 93: The Œofficial story‚ is that Flight 93
crashed into rural Pennsylvania because of a valiant passenger
struggle. However: the debris was scattered over a 5 to 8 mile swath;
the largest piece of debris found was about the size of a telephone
book; residents in the area heard a loud explosive sound and saw a
military jet just prior to the crash. Could Flight 93 have been shot
down instead?

7. THE DESTRUCTION OF WTC BUILDING 7: WTC Building 7 was not hit by
aircraft or by debris from the destroyed Towers. It was reported to
have fires shortly after 9:00 a.m., after the South Tower was struck.
These fires were relatively small and appeared on Floors 7 and 12. At
5:25 p.m., the whole building came tumbling down into a vaporized cloud
of dust. Building 7 housed former Mayor R. Giuliani‚s command center
on the 23rd floor, as well as various offices for the FBI, CIA, Secret
Service, IRS, and SEC.

8. ATTACK ON THE PENTAGON: How could AA Flight 77 disappear from ALL civilian and military radar for almost 40 minutes? Why was there very
little airliner debris found for a 60-ton Boeing 757? How could a
soft-nosed aircraft penetrate through 6 load-bearing, reinforced
concrete walls? Why was the fireball such a different color than that
of the Twin Towers explosion? Why was there no wing damage to the
exterior of the building?

9. CENSORED EVIDENCE AT THE PENTAGON: There are more cameras and surveillance equipment around Washington and the Pentagon than any
place in the world. Yet, the military released only five video frames
taken at the exact time of the collision. Why then, are they
withholding the rest of the evidence on all those video tapes?

11. WHISTLEBLOWERS‚ INTELLIGENCE WARNINGS BLOCKED: FBI Deputy Director John O‚Neill resigned his Post and was hired as Director of
Security at the WTC, starting on September 11, the day he died. FBI
Agent Coleen Rowley blew the whistle on Dave Frasca at FBI HQ for
blocking terrorist warnings. FBI Agent Kenneth Williams, warned that
Al Qaeda could have students enrolled at an Arizona flight school.

12. INSIDER TRADING COVER-UP: There was an increase of 60 to 90 times
normal increase in trading activity of orders to go short‚ on the
stocks of American Airlines and United Airlines, as well as WTC-related
firms (insurance companies, firms located in the Buildings, etc)
between September 6-10, 2001. Why does the SEC refuse to reveal the
names of those who engaged in this trading and thus profited directly
from 9.11 ?

13. PROJECT FOR A NEW AMERICAN CENTURY (PNAC): The US has for
decades sought to play a more prominent role in Gulf regional security.
While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate
justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in
the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein further
the process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some

14. PRETEXT FOR WAR PEARL HARBOR: Renowned American historian and Pulitzer Prize winner, John Toland reports that President Roosevelt had
„prior knowledge‰ of the surprise attack of December 7, 1941 and
failed to act. The Chief of Staff ordered „a lid‰ put on the affair: Gentlemen, he told half a dozen officers, „this goes to the grave with us. (INFAMY: Pearl Harbor and Its Aftermath). Author Robert Stinnett confirms this in Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor.

15. PRETEXT FOR WAR<sum>OPERATION NORTHWOODS: James Bamford, author of Body of Secrets: Inside the Super-Secret National Security Agency,
reports that Northwoods shows the Pentagon was capable „of launching a
secret war of terrorism against their own country. An incident was
needed in order to „trick‰ the American public into supporting a war on
Cuba. Should an American-made catastrophe occur, „the objective is to
provide irrevocable proof <sum> that the fault lies with the Communists‰ in
Cuba„ We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba,
said Admiral Lyman Lemnitzer, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of
Staff.

16. PRETEXT FOR WAR<sum>THE INCUBATOR BABIES: An anonymous woman working as a volunteer nurse, falsely reported (on network TV) witnessing Iraqi soldiers steal incubators from innocent Kuwaiti babies. She said she saw the Iraqi soldiers leave the babies on the hospital floor to die.
The woman, „Nayirah,‰ turned out to be the daughter of the Kuwaiti
Ambassador to the US. The story, which was used as a pretext for
launching the war on Iraq in 1991, was a complete hoax.

17. CIA ALLIES<sum>SAUDI ARABIAN TERRORISTS: Some of the 9/11 hijackers
were imported and trained by the US military. One US visa office
whistleblower, J. Michael Springmann, veteran of 20 years of foreign
service, posted at the Saudi Embassy for two years, stated, „I was
instructed to issue US visas to Saudi terrorists.‰

18. CIA ASSET<sum>OSAMA BIN LADEN: Prior to 9/11, Osama bin Laden was
secretly protected by the CIA and became a US intelligence asset. Was
put on FBI‚s 10 Most Wanted list in 1999. Two months prior to 9/11,
bin Laden was at The American Hospital in Dubai on July 14, 2001 and
was visited by the CIA section chief, yet no arrest was made. On
September 10, 2001, Osama is reported (by Dan Rather) to be at a
Pakistani military headquarters hospital, a hospital has close ties to
the Pentagon. No arrest was made.

19. CIA BUDDY<sum>PAKISTANI ISI GENERAL MAHMOUD: The 9/11 Money Man was
visiting members of the Bush administration and Congress from September
4 - 13, 2001. It was Lt. General Ahmad (Pakistan‚s ISI
Director-General) who, according to the FBI, orchestrated the transfer
of $100,000 to alleged ringleader Mohammed Atta just prior to September
11.

20. CIA CONNECTION<sum>THE ISI: From November, 2001 through January,
2002, many mainstream newspaper articles reported that Pakistan‚s
Secret Police (ISI), which has close ties to the CIA, secretly
airlifted several thousand members of Al Qaeda, and, perhaps Osama, out
of Afghanistan to safety.

21. BUSH-BIN LADEN FAMILY TIES: The Bush and bin Laden families have
been friends and business partners for many years. Sheikh Khalid bin
Mahfouz, a close associate of Osama‚s, was a major investor in Arbusto
Energy Co. GWB‚s first oil company venture. George Bush Sr. and The
Carlyle Group were meeting with Shafig bin Laden, Osama bin Laden‚s
brother, at the Ritz Carleton in Washington DC the morning of 9/11.

THE AFTERMATH

24. COVERUP BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT?: Key evidence was confiscated and destroyed by the US government right after 9/11.
The WTC was the largest crime scene in US history and yet, Controlled
Demolition, Inc., was hired right away by the US government to clear
away the evidence before it could be properly examined. Pentagon
employees were immediately ordered to pick up the pieces of debris from
whatever it was that hit the Pentagon.
