Blast fails to topple tallest S.D. Building
And we're supposed to believe that SOMEHOW by flying PLANES into a much taller structer, say perhaps THE WORLD TRADE CENTER, would topple THEM!? OH GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK ALREADY AND CUT THE CRAP! You can go :tinfoilhat: but again, please cut the shit...

By DIRK LAMMERS, AP Writer

Highlights:

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Thousands of spectators gathered Saturday to watch the demolition of the city's tallest building - but the Zip Feed Mill tower was stronger than it looked.

The 202-foot-tall concrete structure dropped slightly, leaned a little - and stopped.

The abandoned feed mill elevator in downtown Sioux Falls paled in comparison to structures such as Chicago's 1,450-foot Sears Tower or even North Dakota's 242-foot state Capitol in Bismarck, but it was widely considered the tallest building in South Dakota.

Crews had drilled holes into the tower's supporting columns and stuffed them with explosives, intending to drop the tower into a heap of rubble.

However, the tower collapsed into the structure's basement and got wedged, said Eric Schuler, project manager for the Henry Carlson Co., a general contractor. The structure was stable and crews planned to return on Monday to knock it down with a crane, Schuler told KELO-TV.

``It's not an exact science,'' said Schuler. ``We'll get it down safely.''

3. I can't remember when the last time was that something like this
happened. I'm so used to being amazed at how great these explosive guys are. They always make amazing things happen!

Really! Do you EVER remember an intentional explosion failing like this?????

29. So you really think the fire was big enough
and burned long enough to bring down not just one but three buildings right on their own footprint?

6. Would it have been legal for them to use the same explosives
That were used on WTC?

Of course, those who decided what explosives to use on 9/11 considered themselves much more above the law!

7. There's poor logic in your statement.
""Blast fails to topple tallest S.D. Building." And we're supposed to believe that SOMEHOW by flying PLANES into a much taller structer, say perhaps THE WORLD TRADE CENTER, would topple THEM!?"

Why would a failed blast support that the towers and surrounding buildings were blasted successfully?

(not to mention the various other bad comparisons between the building in SD and the Trade Center.)

15. Uh, yeah...............
How? I am stating that Demolitions experts (one in my home city of ALB ) were contracted to the Federal Gov. w big $$$ compensation. (I only know of 1 personally, and others circumstantially), w/in 1 week of 9-11. We're talkin big $$$ and probably not many choices.

If you wish I could IM a few DUers for the whole story.... as I Google it I only get fluff.

A number of DUers are SOOO all over this. There were a few mainstream news stories in the first week after 9-11. Then - Bye -Bye.

"An open-minded person who is inexperienced and uninformed will need to be willing to investigate issues that an experienced and informed person need not pursue. A critical thinker must find things out for herself, but once she has found them out she does not become closed-minded simply because her opinion is now informed! So, the next time you hear some defender of astral projection, past-life regression, or alien abductions ((or controlled demo of WTC)) accuse a skeptic of being “closedminded,” give thought to the possibility that the skeptic isn’t closed-minded. Perhaps she has arrived at an informed belief. It is also possible that the accuser is a clever arguer who knows that charging an opponent with
being closed-minded is often a successful tactic in the art of persuasion."

13. You are joking, right?!
Ok, this blast was supposed to take down a 200 some odd foot building. Very calculated, etc and so on. BUT, we are supposed to believe that just by goddamn crashing planes into a TWO buildings that were BUILD to withstand something of that sort, is ok?! HELLO! In addition to which, care to explain why anything 6 blocks from this SD building did not collapse? Ya know, like WTC Building 5 did...and shit that was RIGHT NEXT to the twin towers DID NOT collapse?! Is it just me?!

17. No, I'm thinking critically. I recommend it.
You are asserting that the failure of this calculated attempt at demolition means that damage from two airliners did not cause the collapse of the towers.
That is illogical with rare flair, I must say. :)

36. I suggest you are not thinking critically the right way
you seem to know little about how the three WTC buildings officially collapsed on 9/11. If you knew something about that official line, then you would understand the point here, which strongly undermines the official story.

Basically, for the WTC towers, we are suposed to believe that the top portion of the buildings somehow broke off because of plane damage and fire, then fell down, crushing the entire structure below in to small pieces of steel beams and concrete powder.

In this SD demolitoon, we have the upper 3/4 of the building falling down and still resisting total collape-- AFTER demolition.
