AA11: Three hijackers in the back of the plane during crash??

A Newsday article describes the finding of the DNA indentification at the WTC:

Three hijackers have been indentified but "Shaler's office could not identify the three by name. That's because the 10 DNA profiles used to make the first matches were supplied by the FBI without names attached."

The important passage is:
In "Who They Were," his new inside account of the identification effort, Shaler writes that he believes the terrorists identified were in the back of the planes - and not the monsters who plowed the jets into the towers.
"I still doubt the pilots have anything remaining to collect or analyze," he writes. "Likely, they were vaporized along with many of the innocent victims."

In the back of the plane? Three hijackers??
Therefore only two in the cockpit?

Why didn't they join the cockpit and especially why does Sweeney and Ong state the hijackers are in the cockpit and the passengers in the coach section. None mentiones the presence of the three hijackers.

Any explanation?

hijackers had full knowledge of the plan to crash the planes and thought they were part of a "standard hijacking". Is it possible that some figured out what was happening and had a change of heart?

edit;

On the other hand it seems the point of the article was that the pilots DNA would not be found because they would be 'vaporized', but the hijackers in the back could be found because they were not vaporized.

3. Hmmm. If there were 5 hijackers on board

I would have thought that the obvious thing to do would be to let the ones with pilot abilities be in the cockpit, but for the others to be in the main cabin. Waving one inch knives around in a menacing way etc...

After all a hijack in these circumstances has to have a serious risk of the passengers retaking the plane.

The phone calls are all contradictory anyway, and I have no real reason to believe they were genuine.

4. Sweeny called relatives and said the plane she was on was delayed

the plane that was tracked to New York left on time
Sweeney and the passengers listed for AA11 apparently weren't on it.
The computer boarding information seems to support this, from Logan airport
some were shown with boarding times after the plane tracked to NY left
2 other passengers also called their relatives and said Flight AA11 was delayed, they apparently weren't on
the one that hit WTC either
