How to Spot COINTELPRO Agents

I found this blog very interesting and informative as food for thought when you are on forums

as some might remember I did one on :

"The Process of Brainwashing, Psychological Coercion, and Thought Reform"

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=2334414

here is a little snippet>>>>>>>>from her blog.

"Some agents take on a pushy, arrogant, or defensive manner:

1) To disrupt the agenda
2) To side-track the discussion
3) To interrupt repeatedly
4) To feign ignorance
5) To make an unfounded accusation against a person.

Some saboteurs pretend to be activists. She or he will ....

1) Write encyclopedic flyers (in the present day, websites)
2) Print flyers in English only.
3) Have demonstrations in places where no one cares.
4) Solicit funding from rich people instead of grass roots support
5) Display banners with too many words that are confusing.
6) Confuse issues.
7) Make the wrong demands.
8) Compromise the goal.
9) Have endless discussions that waste everyone's time.
The agent may accompany the endless discussions with drinking, pot smoking or other amusement to slow down the activist's work."

There is much more to site from the article so please read with a grain of salt
and awareness.

7. I am too sometimes in the lounge but it still is a good read
I just listed those to drag readers in.

But I didn't list the real meat of the matter
for it is a long article.

It is something that activist should read
for their own awareness and not being just paranoid though conscious on manipulation. Counter intelligence technics
I have personally witnessed in my life, You 'll have to take me on my word on that

I go to many sites and forums besides DU
for example "Above Top Secret" is mentioned and analyzed at her blog
which I do read sometimes with a grain of salt.

Rense is also mention as a confusion disinformation site.

2. Hmmm, those 9 'fake activist' clues remind me of someone....
...but I can't quite remember who it is.

That's gonna bug me.
I feel like the A.N.S.W.E.R. is right in front of me.......

3. COINTELPRO agents only print flyers in English?
I'll have to be weary of the kids running the high school car wash and up-and-comming rock bands.

4. Ye shall know them by their fruits
It really doesn't matter if the guy screwing up the signs is an agent or not, it just matters that he's screwing up the signs. Take him off the signs.

6. The Best Rule Of Thumb, Sir
Is that the person who is sure others in the group arepolice agents, and the person who uses the most imflammarory language, and the person who urges the wildest actions, are those most likely to be actual provocateurs....

11. This is more an article about web sites and web forums
Some have traced down for example " Above Top Secrets" iep to government or an Langley Va. area

But you are right on whole organizations having problems.

12. Based on this, 75% of the posters DU are agents...
:)

Seriously, similar the Magistrate said upthread, they are usually the first to point fingers and accuse others of being counter-revolutionaries, so to speak.

13. Oh, fer Chrissake! They moved this thread HERE?????
Irony-frickin-squared!!!!

This is CRAP! Total BS!!!!

If I had my tinfoil hat on, I might suspect that the subject at hand
might have hit abit too close to home for the mod who moved this.

But I don't, so I won't. Because that would be WRONG.

15. I know, 9-11 was not mention in this thread not once
But, is mention in the article, but so were so many other things of interests
Anyway, I think it is an article worth viewing, especially on "Beyond Top Secret"
which I had just read their rebuttal of the Pentagon crash, which I found interesting when I came upon
this article researching the crash.

Sorta fits part of the article on what happen.

I knew it wouldn't last long in GDP because it was controversial on agent provocateurs at DU.
However you can do a"site meter" analysis on DU and find that the government watches
or at least someone using a government iep is watching this site on
SUNDAY at 11:30 pm pacific standard time. It doesn't say who, only the percentage.
vs normal retail iep's such as verizon, comcast, etc.
It's around 1%-5% depending on the time of day and traffic flow at DU.

Here is a link to site meter, which is a pay service.

16. this is weird. But I've had posts deleted that for the life of me...
I couldn't figure out why they were beyond the pale.

There should be an inspector general of moderators who spot checks stuff that's deleted or moved.

14. a few years ago

I attended a little workshop on 'movement security' that was really good, and we got lots of
good literature about it. Much of it came from Political Research Associates who can be found
at

http://www.publiceye.org

If you're looking for that literature, do searches on 'movement security'.

17. Unless it's the upper echelons of politics, a simple background check
would do it, or even googling the person.
