Charlie Sheen doesn’t buy 9/11 spin: Boston Herald ridicules
Charlie Sheen, following in the footsteps of his politically outspoken father, Martin Sheen, has joined the chorus of conspiracy theorists who don’t believe the official version of events surrounding 9/11.

The estranged husband of Denise Richards, who is better known for his affinity for prostitutes and gambling than his Homeland Security credentials, told the GCN Radio Network he doesn’t buy the government’s explanation that “19 amateurs with box cutters (took) over four commercial airliners and (hit) 75 percent of their targets.”.....

.....The father of two also questioned whether a plane actually hit the Pentagon and how President George Bush was able to see the first plane hit the north tower, when no live footage of that incident was carried.
“I guess one of the perks of being president is that you get access to TV channels that don’t exist in the known universe,” the actor-turned-pseudo-intellect quipped.
“It is up to us to reveal the truth,” Sheen asserted. “We owe it to everybody’s life who was drastically altered, horrifically that day and forever. We owe it to them to uncover what happened.”
Excuse us if we don’t exactly feel that Charlie’s the man for that job!

1. "19 amateurs with box cutters"
Translation: Stupid dirty cave-dwelling brown people too primitive to be capable of harming strong, intelligent white people using creative means.

4. Gee, do you suppose you might be inferring something not there?!
I've seen some ridiculous "translation" posts here, but yours just made the top spot.

There is nothing in his comments which might be a basis for the tortured "translation" you put on it.

13. No, it's not
Sheen said nothing the least bit racist, xenophobic, whatever. "Amateur" doesn't translate as "primitive."

I don't necessarily agree with Sheen 100% on this, but not for this reason!

15. Amateur means for example, that the pilot who flew into the Pentagon
had taken a flight test on a cesna trainer and failed, and the flight school refused to allow him to fly anymore, and yet he managed to do a 270 downward spiral into the Pentagon that professional pilots say they could not have accomplished. And the result: instead of flying directly into the Pentagon, he circled around to hit the part that was under construction and mostly empty.

18. Oh come on! You don't think he got LUCKY? Or became a highly
skilled jumbo-jet pilot by playing flight sim games for hours on end, in between visits to the strip clubs?

Honey, where in heck is your gullibility?

25. If he could not fly a cesna, if he wasn't even allowed to rent a cesna
that makes him an amateur or worse. So calling him amateur is in no way a racist insult.

But it sure does make that maneuver all the more amazing.

27. First of all,
I don't accept an image from a paranoid conspiracy website as legitimate documentation of anything except paranoid shithattery on the part of whoever did the fairly amatuer photoshop job on the map image.

Second of all, whether or not he failed a cessna flight test is completely irrelevant. Lots of people who fail their drivers' test can actually drive a car.

34. The BBC, CNN and cooperative research are paranoid shithattery?
The BBC reported that the hijacker made a 270 degree turn here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/static/in_depth/americas/2001/day_of_terror/the_four_hijacks/flight_77.stm

Just a few miles outside the city it made a 270 degree turn and lined up on the Pentagon.

So does cooperative research, here, although CR has the direction correct, from the northwest with relevant citations to the Boston Globe and CBS:

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/timeline.jsp?timeline=complete_911_timeline&day_of_9/11=aa77

Radar data shows Flight 77 crossing the Capitol Beltway and headed toward the Pentagon. However, the plane, flying more than 400 mph, is too high when it nears the Pentagon at 9:35 a.m., crossing the Pentagon at about 7,000 feet up. The plane then makes a difficult high-speed descending turn. It makes a “downward spiral, turning almost a complete circle and dropping the last 7,000 feet in two-and-a-half minutes. The steep turn is so smooth, the sources say, it's clear there no fight for control going on.”

And eyewitness trainers have repeatedly stated on the public record that Hani Hanjour could neither fly a cesna nor operate a 757 simulator:

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0109/18/se.35.html

O'CONNOR: Hanjour wanted to rent a Cessna 172, says owner, Marcell Bernard. But he needed to prove he was good enough and went up three times with two instructors. MARCEL BERNARD, FREEWAY AIRPORT: On the last flight they made it clear to him that they felt that his overall proficiency was so poor that they were going to insist that he do a little more flying with us and get some additional training before they would allow him to rent an aircraft.

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/timeline.jsp?timeline=complete_911_timeline&al-qaeda_members=haniHanjour

In January, the Arizona flight school JetTech alerts the FAA about hijacker Hani Hanjour. No one at the school suspects Hanjour of terrorist intent, but they tell the FAA he lacks both the English and flying skills necessary for the commercial pilot's license he has already obtained. The flight school manager “couldn't believe he had a commercial license of any kind with the skills that he had.” A former employee says, “I'm still to this day amazed that he could have flown into the Pentagon. He could not fly at all.” They also note he is an exceptionally poor student who does not seem to care about passing his courses.

So what you are really saying is that no matter what evidence is presented to you, you will basically dismiss it with ad hominem attacks. I presume this is because you have such faith in George W. Bush as a man of God who would never lie to the American people.

40. The 9/11 Commission Report says
"At 9:34, Ronald Reagan Washington Airport advised the Secret Service of an unknown aircraft heading in the direction of the White House. American 77 was then 5 miles west-southwest of the Pentagon and began a 330-degree turn. At the end of the turn, it was descending through 2,200 feet, pointed toward the Pentagon and downtown Washington." p. 9

Do you believe the Commission, or do you think they are wacko too?

I suppose all this would be relevant if Hani had actually boarded the plane.

8. I saw a clip of him
on a CNN yesterday. I thought he presented very well. He asked serious, intelligent questions. While I do not agree with his opinions on 9-11, I think that he is providing a valuable service to the country by asking questions. The newspaper's tactic, on the other hand, is cheap and undignified.

Having someone who disagrees with Sheen's assessment, but still speak out to his right to question the events of that day will carry a lot of weight.

Does anyone have the email addy to the paper for Waterman?

Not just because of the whole prostitutes-dressed-as-cheerleaders thing, but because his name's synonymous with "hack."

He's the LAST guy we need to represent the 9/11 Truth Movement. What, was Pauly Shore unavailable for comment?

39. If you listened to the original intereview
Then you'd KNOW a couple things.

a) It was Sheen that contacted Jones and asked for the interview.
b) He seemed nervous at points and his words measured
c) Sheen no longer drinks alcohol or uses prostitutes and hasn't for nearly a decade now. Jones used the word "Teetotaler"
d) who in the hell is saying he represents the 9/11 movement? He just wanted a soundboard for what he and his "circle" have been thinking in private. He was careful not to place direct blame.

Who the hell are you to tell people what they need?
