Who votes more than once on a poll?
Does anybody?
I'm just wondering... I know the Freepers do, and I'm firmly in the camp of 'good for goose/good for gander'
but I just cannot bring myself to vote more than once.

Inherent fairness in Dems, stupidity, or blindly believing in your fellow-citizen against all evidence?

if the Diebold equipment doesn't get to them first.

But since all the law enforcement personnel are against the freeps
we shall overcome.

9. Most you can't unless you clean out your cookies ...
after each vote. It's really not worth it. Freeping is the act of using a program to vote many many times.

We just get lots of people to vote.

Cheers
Drifter

12. I might if I knew how, but I don't
Clearing out the cookies isn't worth the hassle, and doesn't work on many polls anyway.

Just kidding! One vote is all I need.

(Although I strangely feel like my online votes are making more of a difference this year than my real vote will...I live in Georgia.)

17. I don't. I know it has to do with cookies but I don't know where mine
are and can't change them or dump them or whatever the hell it is.

I don't want to and we don't need to.

21. We ALL do sometimes
The thousand listing of TV stations NBC ""Survey: Who Won The Debate?"
use the same database for totals. So you are "double voting" IF you answer more than one ""Survey: Who Won The Debate?""

23. I don't because I don't know anything about cookies (other than eating
them) and I certainly don't know how to clear them! But I do know at least that there is only one internet, not internets, like our beloved leader.

25. I vote once and once only.
Unlike the rightwing, ethics, integrity and honesty are more important to me than supposedly "winning" by cheating. I have NO respect for anyone who would advocate or encourage multi-voting. I'd rather know what our numbers REALLY are, than how good we are at turning off our cookies -- which is meaningless.

26. I only vote once, and on national polls.
I don't vote on the local polls. I don't live in the towns where the vast majority of them are taking place. Thus I don't feel compelled to vote for them.

I'm just lazy. Who wants to clean out cookies 30 or 40 times (and what difference would that make to a national poll, anyway)

29. Not me
I don't think most folks do.

There's probably an equal number of people on either side of an issue to game a poll.

I've been impressed with both Kerry and Edward's showing in the online polls.

32. It's not a legitimate question?
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 11:54 PM by MsMagnificent
Kindly don't talk down to me. It is quite legitimate...
Can anyone really tell me they never wondered about that?

And BTW, I'm VERY proud of being a DEMOCRAT AND A LIBERAL!
I've never been ashamed in the first place.

And we've been inherently fair, even to our own detriment.
Hate to say this, but I think that may have to change. If they go after President Kerry like they hunted Clinton...
Nuh-uh.
No more.
Gloves must come off.

But I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Right now I'm just very happy.

***Edit: fixed typo

33. I vote once -- for each browser I use

That's: Netscape, Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Mozilla ...

Multiple personalities, you know. Screw Freepers. The polls are not scientific,. They measure committment and passion.

Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 11:29 PM by qnr
Did a rapid-fire multiple click on the vote button, but not a clear cookies/switch browser and come back to vote type.

Other than that, I haven't done so on any type of poll, no matter how inconsequential, since about 1999
